Carlton has delisted four players, with Harrison Macreadie, Callum Moore, Fraser Phillips and Cam Polson told they will not be offered new contracts for the 2021 season.

They join Hugh Goddard, Darcy Lang, Finbar O’Dwyer and Ben Silvagni out the door at Ikon Park.

The club has however committed to midfielder Matthew Kennedy, but will pick him up via the upcoming AFL Rookie Draft.

Small forward Matthew Owies will also be retained as a Category B Rookie.

A key defender, Macreadie struggled with injury and didn’t feature at AFL level in 2020, while Polson was moved into defence and managed three games late in the season.

Moore was picked up in the supplemental selection period as a depth ruckman, while Phillips was selected in the 2019 Rookie Draft.
Weird I always thought Polson was a first round pick.

Pick 59, Carlton's 4th overall in 2016.
UTD you might have been mixing Polson up with Lochie O'Brien who was Pick 10 in the 2017 Draft.

Or Paddy Dow, but less likely to have been confused with Polson I'm guessing.

Anyone got any data on the earliest draft pick to be taken coming off an ACL?
Not sure specifically, but Max King at Pick 4 would have to be right up there.

Brodie Kemp at Pick 17 last year is another one who had done and ACL in their draft year and was taken relatively early. But not King and Hollands (likely this year) type early though. Pre-injury Kemp was probably tracking as a genuine Top 10 pick, if not even on the cusp of the Top 5.

Cheers forgot about King. Think Hollands could end up sliding if anyone doesn't trade up in the top 5.

Hmm, not so sure on that. If anything the recent whispers that have been gaining some momentum are that Hollands could well be off to Adelaide at Pick 1. I still think Adelaide go one of the talls in McDonald or Thilthorpe myself, or think they should anyway, but would be very very surprised if Hollands made it any further down the board than GCSs Pick 6 at this stage.

Just have a feeling top 5 will be talls.
