Bryant vs Hughes vs Wildermuth - which two?
I am probably in the minority on Bryant here (although I am looking into the Bryant/Turner loop idea) and I do like Hughes.

So Hughes & Wildermuth.

But is Wildermuth on your Bat or Bowl line ?

Both Heat players.

Bryant boasts a more favourable strike rate in the shorter format in comparison to Hughes who is better suited to the longer format. Wildermuth an easy selection with increased opportunities, current price and dpp status.

Thanks - do you mean you’re not on Bryant but considering it?

All would be on the BAT line.

Over 35 ? Definitely

I guess if Bryant gets to 20+ it would be fairly quick.

Just whether he scores 20+ consistently.

Not too many bat onlys would have averaged between 40 and 50 off the top of my head last season.

Problem is I also like Dan Hughes so might be risky fielding 2 of them each round.

EDIT

Finch , Wright , Hales , S Marsh & Webster 50 + last season

2 out of the blue seasons , Webster possibly inflated by bowling points
Sorry mate, I was thinking points. Would 35+ points be the target for Bryant? If he misses bring in Turner, if Bryant hits the target leave the donut onfield.

What about Bryant and Hughes instead of Bryant/Hughes and Turner?

Also, Wildermuth for me.

But if Bryant can't get to 20+ SR becomes irrevelant.

Does he even open if Lynn opens with Banton ?

Think Wildermuth bats 7 maybe even 8 behind Gregory.

I initially had Wildermuth as a lockity lock but now think a lot depends on whether Peirson plays or not.

They have 5 bats (all who can open)

Banton (Lawrence)
Bryant
Lynn
Cooper
Heazlett

If Peirson plays , Gregory & Wildermuth at 6-8.

Add Laughlin , Morkel , Mujeeb

Wildermuth could miss out as 5th bowler or they drop Peirson for a extra bowler.

Sake of this exercise not worried about current injuries , quarantine issues , players in South Africa etc etc

sorry 35 points

could very end up fielding Hughes , donut / Bryant , Turner if I decide on a Scorcher as my VC/C option to start.

Only started thinking Bryant today when I was thinking about @Diabolical post about looping Bryant/Turner.

My preferred bat bench would be Hughes & Turner but that means playing Stanlake on field (which I am not completely sold on)

Depending on the Stoinis news my team could completely change again , which sucks big time as I had nearly locked in everything for Round 1 - 3.

Stanlake with a double though so you'd think he'd at least get 1-2 wickets from 2 games to at least get 40+. At his price and with a double, it's definitely a safer pick onfield than most.

Is anyone thinking Bryant and Hughes instead of Turner?
I'm wondering why many are on Turner.
6 ODI'S , 11 T20'S for his country points to the fact that he is a higher quality player than the other two (in my opinion)

Mind you I have seen that when they have everyone available he could be the one missing out.

Valid point.

Cheap and a DGR but is he a trap ?

Be interesting to see how Manuka plays for the LOI and T20I

Took 4 wickets from 11 games last season though.

I think if you start Stanlake you need a plan to get him to the bench ASAP.

Back to back games as well wouldn't mind betting that he or NCN could end up missing 1 game.

Or if they bowl first and he gets smashed in his first over , Big Billy might be subbed out of the game.

My original plan with Stanlake was :-

Round 4

downgrade Ahmad , upgrade Stanlake
