I apologise for clearing the way for that, wasn’t expecting it to kick off in the direction it went.

Currently looking at this for my starting team:

Fletcher (Philippe)
Maxwell, Ingram, Jacks, Christian, Khawaja (Nielsen , Pfeffer)
D.Short, Zampa, Coulter-Nile, Hussain, Milne (Wildermuth, W.Parker)

Fletcher is interesting for me, the role should be there and hes reasonably priced for an international but the career record is underwhelming and he sat outside the top 10 run scorers in both the CPL and BPL, bit concerned we are getting a dud here.

Got Philippe there at the moment as he plays game 1. If he goes large as well as Christian and Jacks, I’ll probably move him on for someone else.

I’m waiting on more information about his injury. Have a bad feeling the lack of information is indicative he may not get up in time.

Can you convince me to pick Fletcher? Switching Inglis to Fletcher would free up the money I need and solve all my problems.

He hardly bowled last year and still was one of the better players in the comp,unless he misses I'm going to find it very hard not to start him.

Not really in the business of convincing people. I provide information so people can decide for themselves.

Inglis is a quality opening stick and gets plenty of opportunities for catches due to the strong bowlers in his team.

Fletcher has been hit and miss but only needs to come off once during the double round for him to be worth it.

Both likely to open. I assume both will keep.

No news from the Stars camp yet.
I've got a team with, and a team without now.

Until we hear something, it's all speculative.

...but if his side has a niggle he could do damage batting - one six and it's over.

I want him in my team for beyond round 3 where the doubles aren’t a factor. If he performs like I think he will at Blundstone for the first three rounds, could be an expensive practice getting him into my team.

Decide between Christian and Khawaja and slot him in as a batsmen? (It's what I'm doing to be honest Phillippe at Blundstone is a no brainer).

Or swap Wildermuth and Christian. Loop Jacks and Christian in different lines which was the original plan. Gets Philippe on field and keeps khawaja on.

Yes, mainly because he didn’t really bowl last year (ie he’s not overpriced if he can bat similarly well) and he has a DGR. He will likely be traded out after R1 as a funding source and because I don’t think he will quite replicate last years performance (which was outstanding).

Oh, I didn't know Fletcher was likely to open. He's a decent option then.

Given it’s been 10 days since it happened, if it was only a moderate strain, Stoinis is going to need at least another 4-5 days to even be close to ready to go.

Think they might rest him for the first two matches as there is a 4 day gap between their 2nd and 3rd game and give him a little time to get it right. It’s possible they even tell him to cool his jets until Boxing Day as that’s when the Stars 4th match is.
