So...... in April Stengle was:
Driving an unregistered vehicle.
While his license was suspended.
Blew 0.125
Result: $1,600 fine

Meanwhile, back in 1983......
Rowsus gets pulled over on his motorcycle for "taking off from the traffic lights too quickly". Even though I never broke the speed limit. The cop finds out my rego has expired, and starts to seize the plates. I tell him I was on my way to motor registration to pay my rego, and he could even check with them, as I called and told them.
Cops reply: "Nah mate. This is easier"
Result: $800 fine, and another $400 and a week wasted getting a roadworthy on the bike. For those that have never tried to get a roadworthy on a "used" vehicle, it is impossible to do so, without the mechanic finding something that needs doing. I swear they'd find something that needs doing on a brand new car, off the assembly line!

So using my fine, 37 years earlier (!!!!!!), Stengle was fined a total of $800 for drink driving on a suspended license. Which means that offence is equal to driving an unregistered vehicle!

Strike me! Surely either of those offences are worse than the rego offence! Let alone combined, and that's nearly 40 years ago!!!!!

I want a refund!

Collingwood
Kind of sums it up.

..........McGuire’s tenure at Collingwood had been under fire in recent times after Magpies director David Galbally called for him to stand down from the club last month.

The lawyer said “the Collingwood administration has lost the plot” after trade dramas, including the club needing to pay $1.5 million of Adam Treloar’s Western Bulldogs contract over the next five year, and off-field issues rear their ugly heads.

“You can be in charge of a club for far too long,” Galbally said. “There are plenty of examples, and they all lose sight of what is going on and get consumed with the belief that the club is theirs.

“They really need a new administration at Collingwood. Full stop.

“Eddie needs to step down. He can’t stay there forever. He’s not there for life. And it’s not healthy for the club to have the same person serve in that role for as long as he has.”.........
