The tough thing with Wade is the only bowler still around from his innings against the Gades a year and 4 days ago is Webster! Has Hatz got his measure? Can Wasim tempt him into something silly?
That's the other thing though , you then need to go back through each individual score and see who was/wasn't playing , where they batted in the order , 1st Innings or 2nd Innings etc etc

The thing that McDermott has against him is if Short & Wade put in 100+ again , so again how many times have they done that , can they do it back to back etc

I don't have a computer anymore but I am sure those at the pointy end are analysing data like this regularly round by Round to gain the edge.

With significant $$$ on offer you almost need to if you want to win some money.

Last round, seems longer ago than last night with all the posts since, 591 with Philippe C.

Thinking with me leaving for work just after 3 that I trade out Hales (again) with the doubts on the weather and leave my other two trades until tomorrow.

Hales R1 starter, traded out R3, in R6, out R9, in R12 and as stated above probably out R13.

This is a totally different mindset to AFL SC for me as I am most reluctant to trade back in a player I have traded out unless it was injury related and even then I will think more than twice.

DC has a similar history in my team this year

Thanks for that info, officially off the DC train

McDermott and Wade probably equally attractive in that matchup. Much like the Roy/Munro debarkle it makes it hard to do anything but flip a coin on which is the most likely to go well. In fact the only thing which really separates the four for me is that Roy cost about 40k less than the other 3. I don’t even need to save money, but the tightass in me just loves a bargain!
only other thing to consider with McDermott is his 161 breakeven, I'm holding.

So what are the odds of them doing it again tomorrow ?

Currently own Short , was thinking of bringing Wade in , but maybe the play is to bring McDermott in and hope Wade falls early.

But then I am basing a trade on hope.
Now with Wade back, McDermott not keeping doesn't help. Hopefully he focuses on his shot selection a bit more.

And that's one of the problems I find , trying to change your mindset to suit the game you are playing.

I am not a huge basketball fan , the first time I played NBA RDT , everyone else was trading premiums in and out each round , I thought huh why would you do that ? (based on AFL SC thinking don't you keep your premiums)

halfway through the season the penny dropped (slow learner) , trade to schedule.

Now I love it , LeBron gets traded out , back in , out etc etc no hesitation

thought ok let's see if it works in IPL RDT , practice trading to schedule , premium out , premium in , premium out

yep it works

still hard changing your mindset , but that's what you need to do

completely different strategy , tactics & thinking required between AFL/NRL SC & BBL SC

Have to laugh how he broadcasts it when he knows he’s got a dirty 6 man league. :p

Wish they’d separate the league rankings into 6 and 14 man categories.
Guys an A grade flog, how can anyone take this bloke seriously?
Now now lads Brice is a good buddy of mine. Lets keep personal attacks off the board. and chat Cricket. (I am sure he is just pumped his league is 2nd he doesn't mean any harm)

Loses all his shape when he moves around at the crease (surely their analysis team knows this)

stay still , play smart and could be a Top 3 bat in the comp.

I wonder if CA told Wade he is going to NZ (not SA) and that is why he is keeping , thought he might have given himself a sneaky bowl.

Was looking angry last night , thought he was going to take the gloves and pads off and bowl himself.

I have never been ranked that high so I guess I don't know how I would react.

10th could be the matter of 1-2 POD players away so do you play "safe" or attempt a move.

Without looking I am guessing the majority of teams above you would have the same 7-9 similar players so it's those other ones that will make the difference.

Imagine if you had traded out say Carey/Hales/Richardson last round for a Wade type.

To me I think I would risk it and try and finish Top 10 at least.

Never know if and when you will be this close again.
I banked a good result last year, i should go for it more, thats kinda what the Abbott trade hoping to be last round, keeping someone like Zampa may be a bit of a reverse POD if most trade him out.

Have good value, cash really isnt a concern just the points. Think I have to match Marnus, may even get Munro / Lynn as well if that game looks to be the best weather.

Tonight probably Hales / Neser to Marnus / Munro and see where things are tomorrow.

I guess in your position you just need to check your side against those all above you and see where the POD's are.

Abbott , Roy , Wade look the obvious ones , bit hard to take a punt on a Harper , Silk , Larkin type from last round tonning up again this round.

I guess sometime we just have to take a chance and go against logic

To me it seems a delayed start is likely but most of the game will still probably be played.
Yep. After missing out on some key Heat players for their double the last time there was a high threat of rain which absolutely killed my round, I’m not going to do the same with Strikers and Thunder players.

Won’t be trading any in but won’t be trading any out either. Will put the E on all 3 of my players in tonight’s game as a bit of a safety net.
