Can any Eagles supporters give me some thoughts on Bailey Williams? 193k R/F. Nic Nat should play similar minutes to last year which works out to less TOG as a % with longer quarters, opening up ruck minutes for someone. I've heard that Oscar Allen is training exclusively with the forwards and backs, so looks like he wont be the 2nd ruck. Hickey has gone to Sydney, and Vardy hasn't played since mid 2019. Looks like he'll have the 2nd ruck spot to himself, and if Nic Nat breaks down scoring potential goes through the roof.

Post 204 in the ruck thread.

Sad that he still hasn't rated a mention 😢

I guess with the return of WOWell he is quickly forgotten.

Cheaper than Ring a Ring a

@wogitalia what's your thoughts and expected SC average for Rankine this year.

Believe Dew has came out and said he will be getting more mid time

Hmm some more news relevant to Dunkley. No Treloar in the pre-season game makes it even more difficult to understand how the Doggies mids will line up.

https://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/news/863063

Star midfielder Adam Treloar is being managed in his first pre-season at the Western Bulldogs due to some persistent calf tightness.
“With Adam’s history of soft tissue injuries, we’re taking a conservative approach with him at this stage of the pre-season,” head of sports medical, Chris Bell, said.
“We have been proactive with managing Adam’s calf tightness over the past fortnight. His recovery is progressing and we anticipate he will return to full training over the next couple of weeks.”
Treloar remains on track for the Bulldogs’ AFL season-opener against his former side, Collingwood, on March 19.

Dunks has to be a decent chance to look elsewhere next season doesn't he?

Damn that doesn't sound good. Really need him to break out this year with the lack of forward options available. :(
Don't quite understand the lack of forward options available 🤔

11 blokes available to select went 90+ last season

Ziebell , Daniher , Impey appear SC gifts to start

Who knows how many rookies are selected Round 1.

1-3-4 could be doable even 0-3-5

Only need 6 onfield forwards , just trade the premiums in at the right time.

If you're going bargain basement then yes there are options, but pretty much all of the premos come with some sort of question mark this year so Rozee was one of the young mid-pricers I was hoping would push up to that next level this year. A lot of my half-baked strategy at the moment revolves around a few key youngsters taking a step up towards that magical 100+, or in the case of mids 110+ average.

That's what I meant when referring to the lack of (low risk) forward options available - doesn't feel like there is anyone bankable at a reasonable price at this stage, apart from maybe Marshall. Dunkley might be worth more of a look I guess now that Treloar is showing up with calf issues again, but it still looks very messy down at the doggies, so I'm watching this (or rather that) space.

The lack of pre-season games is going to suck noticeably I suspect this year but it is what it is and we'll all just have to play the lotto.

I guess if the majority are locking in Marshall at F1 and then taking Ziebell , Daniher , Impey it doesn't leave a lot of room for "speculative" picks.

Personally I like Heeney.

Butters & Bolton have support.

Wingard

Does it all click for JDG.

Darling seems to improve as the season goes on.

Go for a Rozee or Rankine ride.

With all the experts on here staggered that Liam Ryan has yet to be mentioned.

Depends I guess on your other lines and how they look to see what happens with your F line.

I can see 1-3-4 or 0-3-5 being popular.

Like him as a player but want to see a full 22 game season without any injuries before I'd be picking. He's quality though and if he can stay fit can be a special player. Hasn't really shown much ability to get easy or cheap touches which limits his fantasy potential as well.

Kind of guy that absolutely could match Bennell's 2nd season in the right role though so he's at least worth watching closely in the preseason. See him as a similar type of player. Heeney 2nd season probably the lower end comparison which wouldn't be good enough. Really just depends how his body goes and how much midfield time he can get.

Thanks for that , it's almost tempting to start him in just in case.

Certainly will be interesting following his development if he does end up around the midfield , exciting times.
