Short and Daniher vs Heeney and H Young
Shorty and joey
Think shorty is a Monty to go 100+ this year
The new man of the mark rule suits him and he isn’t competing with anyone at the tigers
Houli will play 12-15 games and as showed last year has lost the quarterback role to shorty
Daniher only needs to play a good 6-8 games before offloading him to a fallen dusty type and I like that option more then option 2

Heeney is safe but don’t see him hurting us. He’ll be available all year between 400-500k

Young showed in that 100+ game that he is gonna be a gem but I think we can wait to see how that dockers mix plays early before rushing to get him

Tracc, Bont & Heeney (saving 1 trade premo upgrade, but Tracc & Bont left as C choices)
9/10 upgrades required for fully upgraded team

vs

Neale, Macrae & Heppell + 20k (needing 1 trade extra to get a prem, but get Neale & Macrae as C choices)
10/11 upgrades required for fully upgraded team

Not a fan of either Heeney or Heppell given they're both injured at the moment. But if I had to choose, I'd go with the top one because Heeney is younger than Heppell, while Neale is probably expected to drop a little from his 134 average. I think I'd change my mind though if Heppell played well in preseason, since Bont and Tracc are both slight risks of actually staying as 115+ premiums.

Starting to cycle through some potential Whitfield replacements in the DEF. Interested to hear thoughts on...

Ryan vs. Daniel vs. Stewart vs. Williams

May end up with two of these guys when it comes to crunch time if the rookie don't show up down back. But at this stage happy to try and settle on the one that will be my straight swap for Whitfield (given he is unlikely).

I think Williams playing as a midfielder at his price-point is a reasonably easy selection. The injury worry is still there but o***et by his price.

I also like Stewart. The pre-season minor injury hiccup is something to monitor but I think if he plays all of the community series match and doesn't look hampered then he's a good selection. He's also at a good price when factoring in his injury affected score from last season.

Heeney back training.

Which ones (if any) can go 90+

Harmes
Sholl D/M
Ash
Milera
Cumming
Young , H

Would need one to be D4 , if I start Cripps @ M7

At least one GWS defender (aside from Haynes & Whitfield) benefits greatly this season , just trying to work out who

Cheers

Milera if any could hit 90.

Give Young one more year and I reckon he won't go under 90 for the next decade. Similar for Ash, another year, maybe two.

Milera could be the one.

Sounds like he might be more HB/W again with Seedsman & Smith.

Bits and pieces from the News sounds like Hately , Schoenberg & Sholl are mid rotation B.

Only concern with Milera is his game count each season , if I go him with Zac Attack just hope they don't break at the same time.

That GWS defence is starting to look very intriguing , 50% of their defence gone , opportunity is definitely their if the player (s) are good enough to take it.

Thanks for your response

How the hell do you start Cripps at M7?
