Actually with the benefit of Laird being DPP , my other option would be Heppell.

Might be easier to just start him and then monitor the other players start to the season.

I'd vote Heppell here. Hately likely has the further upside if he does get the midfield role but I feel as if Heppell will be the much better pick moving to the back half in a role he has excelled before and I'm sure Essendon's back half will be seeing plenty of ball this season.

It would have been nice to wait on both of them but you have to pick someone. Toss of the coin but Dunkley probably has more potential to hurt non owners.

Dusty - MUCH better durability. Proven scoring level. Limited upside. Likely to be a fair bit cheaper on history.

Dunkley - Higher or, should I say, more likely higher ceiling. Bigger downside/role questions. Durability issues. More upside, couple of injuries and he's a totally different prospect.

I'm personally leaning towards Dusty for the durability and certainty but if Dunkley looks to have a more midfield role or injuries happen, will move swiftly on Dunkley.
