It is only just starting to dawn on me how hard it is going to be to pick our starting sides with the rolling team announcements.

In the past it was hard enough only finding out the Richmond and Carlton teams 24 hours before the rest.

Now we will have to wait 72 hours between the team announcements for the opening game and then the Sunday games.

THE WESTERN Bulldogs have again looked to within their own system, committing a list spot to Footscray product Anthony Scott for 2021.

Anthony Scott, 25, impressed for the Dogs' senior side in Wednesday's practice match against Hawthorn and has been informed his train-on stint will become permanent.

We might have a DEF rookie on our hands. Although should be noted all of Cordy, Duyrea and Richards played in the reserves game today, and Easton Wood is possibly right for round one coming off injury.

Why Def rookie? Says he is a fwd/mid in that article. Did he play as a small defender in the practice?

Sydney has big wraps on draftee Braeden Campbell.
The Swans successfully nabbed Campbell with pick No.5 in last year’s draft, matching a bid from Hawthorn to secure their talented Academy prospect.

Tim Watson has received nothing but positive feedback about the 19-year-old with a source telling the Essendon great that he’ll make a significant impact in his debut season.
Watson and Garry Lyon discussed the prodigious Swan on SEN Breakfast.
Lyon: “You said that your man said that he has found a player that he thinks is better than Matthew Rowell.”
Watson: “And will have more impact in his first season than Matthew Rowell. That’s if he stays on his feet.”
“He’s watched this kid for a while. This is 100 per cent fair dinkum.
“He said that he will play across half-back for Sydney, his name is Braden Campbell, and somebody up there said that he is the best kick that he has seen in the AFL.”

Lyon: “And the bloke who said this has seen some of the best kicks in the game – ever.”
Watson: “And he may be considered one of the best kicks himself that we’ve ever seen.”
“Get excited Sydney Swans fans.”
Campbell kicked three goals from 14 disposals to be named best afield in last year’s NAB All Stars 'Futures' game.

I really hope it's right but when there is that much hyperbole it's kind of hard to give credibility to anything they say, throw in that it's Watson saying it and you may as well throw it out the window!
