None of Wehr, Chugg, Highmore, Gould, Worrell, Jones, Chapman are certainties, but neither is Cox. Between these 7 options, I think at least 2-4 will play round 1. If it's on the lower end, I'd much rather restructure and bring in better rookies in other lines than handcuff myself for a rookie I am not confident in.
The problem with Cox is that, he looks neither like a great cash cow or a reliable defender you can start on field. I can even understand resorting to players more expensive like Young, Perez, Cumming, since they are legitimate scoring options, and is only compromised from a cash generation perspective, not both like it is with Cox.
Just out of interest, do you see Cox as more than a 50-60 rookie that's priced at 175k?
