Any tiger fans able to comment on Vlastuin. I rate him as a player and think he is good to play 22 and not as sub. He seems like a good candidate to follow in the footsteps of heppell and avoid second year blues. Tigs well step up next year and I think he could go quite well. I'd certainly consider him in a draft style game and I rate him the equal of d swallow or seedsman.
Thanks for the comments on vlastuin guys. I agree he is unlikely to be SC relevant this year. He strikes me aan out of position mid similar to Ellis last year. He is certainly a player I have a gut feeling about. Whatever happens it looks like the tigs have a quality player there for many years to come. I may pick him in Dt where there are more trades and I go more freely with my hunches.
Is anyone actually considering starting the big 3 in def (Mitchell, McVeigh and Bartel)!?
After pondering for a while, supercoach this year has graced us with a few curveballs, big ones really are the higher priced rookies (forcing us to look elseware for value) and several very fantasy relevant players in def. Traditionally Def is the area that is scored the least out of all the lines however with the introduction of these players could this be a change of tactics and strategy? by picking a few "midfield" players in defence then in essence we can be pumping out larger scores across two lines. I know this is hypothetical but looking back at the scores over the last few seasons, all 3 have a pretty good cieling, pretty consistant and are match winners on their day which indicates to me to lock and load from the outset. Yes they are expensive but so are our superprem mids. Possible good investment early on with a change for some nice scores, i'm considering this aspect more and more i think about it...

Yeah should be right, they mention he's racing against time to be fit for the first nab challenge game on Feb 17 which would suggest he'll be ok for round 1.
Suns' gun set to miss up to a month
GOLD Coast defender Trent McKenzie is set to miss the next three to four weeks of pre-season training after scans revealed he suffered a high-grade right ankle sprain at training on Monday.
McKenzie joined his teammates for the Suns' first session back after the Christmas break, but was carried from Metricon Stadium not long after when he landed awkwardly on his right ankle in a spoiling attempt.
"Thankfully for Trent, scans have revealed no structural damage after he sprained his ankle at training on Monday," a Gold Coast spokesman told AFL.com.au on Tuesday.
"Trent is expected to spend 3-4 weeks on a modified training program to rehabilitate his ankle."
The 21-year-old was on track to complete his first full pre-season in four years, but the ankle injury will consign him to the club's rehabilitation group.
McKenzie enjoyed his best year to date for the Suns in 2013, averaging 19.2 disposals a game and thriving in a mop-up half back role.
Originally signed as one of Gold Coast's 17-year-old access selections, McKenzie has 57 games to his name with the Suns.
McKenzie now faces a race against time to be fit for the Suns' opening NAB Challenge game against Essendon on February 17.
