True

Isn't cash from starting rookies more important though given 2-3 of them are generally missing after the first few games.
Cash from starting rookies is very important but I also believe that you need to have a capt loophole to take advantage of with your vc/capt choices each week so having 1 non playing rookie I believe is the way to go. Normally that would be the R3 position but with Meek & Flynn looking likely from round 1 & the lack of decent rookie priced defenders this year, D8 seems to be the position to take the bottom priced player - If Murray can manage to get games & make some cash then it is a real bonus.

Might end up with 8 rookie defender options so I am not sure they are actually scarce as most people seem to think.

1-2 of these popular Hawthorn mid eligible players could soon dissappear once Mitchell & Wingard return.

Meek will be interesting depending on the Darcy situation.

Be interesting how long Rozee misses to see if Port play a rookie.

If we are not careful come Round 3 half our bench might not be playing in any case so will have multiple VC/C donuts available.

Lack of competitive football last year , a lot of these rookies could be "spent" after 3 games.

Seemed to be full mid, just beaten in the second half as the lions mids got on top. Probably hurt a little by scaling as his first half efforts would have been worth less given how the second half played out. Could also have been the longer quarters though as he has only really played under the shorter quarter conditions of 2020.
yeah, 70% TOG, interesting.

Even so, will be interesting to see how he goes playing mid in games that are 25-30 minutes longer coupled with limited rotations. Reasonable ask for a second year play who has 4 games under his belt!
Yeah I guess unless we have direct contact with him or contacts at the club , none of will know.

Just hope the medicos have got him as fit as possible and ready to play.

One of the most exciting talents to come on the scene in the last 2-3 decades.

Hopefully with Greenwood , Miller , Swallow etc etc they take some of the heat off but it appears he eats , sleeps and breathes football , so hard to imagine him not being in the thick.of the action as much as he can.

Assuming that was referring to pre season game? Was he being tagged, 17 CP of 20 is a bit overs. too lazy to get the handball receive?
No idea to be honest , don't watch preseason games.

No idea of their game plan/style maybe Rowell sees ball , get ball , gives the ball off to others

I need to rewatch the games for J. Clark's role as it looked healthy and I think if his JS is stable he could definitely average mid-80s. I feel like he has to make a big case for himself to not be a victim of Duncan's return to the side though. The alternative is H. Young but I'm just not convinced. Highmore out gives me $290k to spend on a def and I feel like there's value in that range but I would have to nail the pick.
Think Mitch Duncan, like literally his exact role. Which is also my major concern with Clark.

If he's named R1 I'm likely picking him at D8.

With no options at the moment I'm happy with a slow burn towards 200k from a 102k player, if he can manage to score in the 50's he'll get up towards 250k
He only slow burns if he's still in the team in 3 weeks when Talia comes back which is going to be the big question on Butts and him and a genuine puzzle to solve.

Jordan Clark took the kick ins so not a pure Duncan role.
