Far easier to let the coaches do it come round 1 when you have to change that backline for yourself.
I don't see any faults with any of the premium picks outside but the 4 rookie backs of which two seem unlikely to play and a 3rd is at best a 50/50 proposition and the "secure" one could be done in two weeks if he flops definitely feels like a problem!

Haven't touched my side for a little while. Pretty happy with both iterations of this but depends how confident I feel on Meek getting an extended run of games as to whether I go for the second one. (Forward line is unchanged in both scenarios)
I reckon Warner plays but if he doesn't he's a quick flip to Henry or Chandler or someone in that range.
An option could be to cut 1-3 of the players over $650,000 and look to redistribute it to the fwd and def to decrease the dependence on several rookies to be named.
Eg-
Out: J Lloyd, L Jones, L Neale and T Fullarton
In: J Short, S Docherty, J Cameron (via Danger) and J Daniher
Moved Gawn to Meek and Oliver to Cripps. This allowed Short in the backline and Phillips/Daniher up forward. I could also drop Daniher for a rookie and get Dusty instead of Phillips. This looks more balanced to me but im not 100% confident in starting a rookie ruck but I think its a necessary evil and I still have captain options. Any thoughts on Meek vs Hunter? ( or how to Voodoo curse Ryder - Marshall or Darcey? )
I still have 40k itb for minor rookie corrections.
Welcome aboard - Looks like a really solid team with Good structure. Some of your rookies may be doubtful for round 1 selection, but you should be able to change these without too much problem. Some of your bench rookies may also be better to be on field, but that is also easy to fix.
As do I, everyone's been focused on Short and Daniel for the rule change but I think it really suits Powell. Gold Coast love to use his kicking skills and it benefits his uncontested style.
The 9 uncontested marks in pre-season was genuinely a great sign, they often looked to him for the short option which was very promising.
Other bonus is he's a pretty good runner so the return to full quarters should help.

Thanks mate. Yeah I’ve still got a couple changes to do regarding players on field and bench players. Fingers crossed the rookies just get up and are given a shot haha

Henry & Durdin are the concerns, but there are hopefully similar priced rookies who can replace them.
Also, gutsy move to have Hunter at R3 as most seem to be taking Flynn or possibly Meek. I don’t mind it, but job security could be a problem for him so make sure you have fully considered the risk
Moved OS few weeks back so been trying to keep up through comments...
Think I’ve got it??? 😂
Really wanted to get CJ down back as a POD (so could replace Howe or Short?) which could mean I could go up on BRowellnlow?!
Fyfe slight injury concern with Crippa role? But 2 favourite players and can boss it up!
Second iteration of my team. Actually very happy with this... I'm excited to have a few players out of left field. Still need to get rookies in order, but anything major I'm missing?
