Hello party people.. I have had zero time this year to look at my team, so it has literally been cobbled together tonight!

I would love it if you kind people could rip it to shreds so that i can fix it tomorrow. As always, your input is invaluable! I haven't watched any of the pre season, so if you have suggestions on who to swap someone for not just who to get rid of that would be awesome :)

Yeah I like it, I think it's pretty safe and will be similar to a lot of teams this year because of that.

It's funny because this is actually one of the better/best teams I've seen recently.

Funny , I see 5-7 possible donuts from the start.

The majority of players is no different to about 1,000 teams posted over the last day.

I guess people see things differently.
I define a good team by the premium selections and the team structure. All rookies are ultimately placeholders until the teams are announced.

I guess I am still convinced that named rookies determine our starting sides and structures.

Certainly easy to make pretty looking teams on paper with premiums and non realistic rookies.

Will probably have to cull Dow to fix the Waterman/Treacy picks as that is 2 possible 102.4k donuts with little bank you have. Jones in defence is another questionable and may need atleast 37k to get to the 2nd cheapest defence rookie in Cox/Butts.

For the forward line Henry(Pies) is atleast playing. Some chance Jones(Essendon)/ Bergman both 124k as potential debutants. Warner might also be an option at 144k if named.

After many drafts here is the final product, I'm not fully locked on the rookies yet but feeling pretty confident with the rest of the team

The premiums in the side look reasonably ok to me.

But you've got some work to do on those rookies...

I count 8 who definitely won't play.
2 who at less than a 50-50 to play.
The 2 in Powell and Highmore, who should play, but are yet to be announced.

I'd suggest having a read through the rookie thread and having a look at the common rookies throughout some of the recent teams posted in this thread the last few days.

After poring over @wogitalia's rookie posts, I've come up with this. I'm happy with where it sits, especially after a less than stellar preseason (work means I have less time for Supercoach). Who knew?

I wonder if we'll have enough rookies playing... I suspect we'll be picking a couple sight unseen. I'm hoping that Lachie Jones gives me enough flexibility to either pick him, or pick the defence bolter that comes from nowhere.

Pure GnR
13 top notch keepers

Lot of love for your team, based upon likes, but you don't have much cash and Gawn and Grundy are a couple of the most consistent scoring options in the league (and most expensive to get accordingly). It's a lot of money required to replace both of them from complete rookie priced rucks and you may not be generating much cash from the entire rookie pool given the shallow draft and lack of exposed form for most. Sound premium selections though but 13 is pretty standard, albeit perhaps more speculative types like Taranto (in other teams) may be hit or miss. Kudos for trying something different.

Appreciate the input! Who are the donuts and what would you do?

I deliberately pick up the "best" rookies even if they miss one or two early rounds to save trades... long game. Granted, I am not close to who the "best" rookies are this year or how long exactly Treacy and Waterman are out for which might be useful info!

That's a dangerous game, if this was the case I'd still be carrying Gould through 2021

Unless we get announcements today/tomorrow I would have back up plans in place for all of :-

Jones
Highmore
Fyfe
Sharp
Downie
Brockman
Waterman
Treacy (suspended)

I guess we are all waiting on confirmation on Koschitzke , Powell & Rowe.

Interesting way to approach starting rookies.

Many ways to create $$$ to get 29-30 starting players from the start.

Cheaper options for Lloyd , Neale , Danger

Rookie R2 ruck

look at the Clark , Cumming , Daniher , Dow , Impey , S Martin , Tyson , Young , Ziebell etc price types

Just a little tweak this morning 😀

D: Daniel , Stewart , Duggan , H Clark , Fantasia * , J Clark * / Koschitzke , Briggs * or Highmore or Fyfe

M: Macrae , Merrett (C) , Boak , Laird * , Cripps , Rowell , Taranto , Campbell * / Brockman * , Gulden , McNeil

R: Flynn , Hunter / Meek

F: Dunkley * , D Martin * , Zorko * , Ziebell , Daniher , Jones (?) / Rowe , Scott *

$ 30k so can go Jones - > Powell if required

10-4-4-12

4 rookies onfield , pumped to see if it can work

Looks great Herbie. Was thinking today a team along similar lines could be on the path to success with cash generation so up in the air. Only suggestion would be looking to replace Boak - any way of going say Boak to Danger? Caldwell and Jeremy Cameron would be two other good options too. Just not sure how you facilitate it (unless boak and Mr 4 games go out?)

Cheers

I could go Boak - > Danger but I have been very strong on Boak for months so he is staying 😀

Dangermouse will just have to wait for upgrade season.

9 of my 12 rookies have been confirmed to be playing so hopefully get at least 11 or 12 named.

No idea how their JS is so hopefully they play lots of games and generate lots of $$$

Good luck herbie. So you have hunter ahead of meek?
