Excited for my PODs Harmes and Hind to play today. Was impressed by Scott last night, and equally relieved I didn't pick McNeil or Henry (didn't see Henry all night).

Backing in Bergman - his spot to lose. Not worried about Grundy, last night was an insipid performance across the board. Could easily be 85dt:105sc with the same performance next week if Collingwood bounce back.
We might be the only 2 left on the Harmes train!

Depends how honourable you think AFL coaches/clubs are. I lean to the side that they’ll try to squeeze any sort of small advantage they can and an extra player for half a game is no small advantage. Be negligent if us to think that it doesn’t impact selection.
This is why, after making this ridiculous situation, the AFL have to police it properly. But the fact that they came up with such a situation actually points to their basic incompetence and suggests that they will allow it to be exploited until it gets out of hand, and then they will bring in an equally badly conceived situation/rule to counter it.

This is their basic problem, other than being incompetent. They roll out a dumb rule and when they finally realise how dumb it is instead of admitting it was dumb and fixing that rule, they roll out another dumb rule to try and fix the original issue.

Unlikely. Races need to worry about future races and horses are a lot more prone to leg injuries. Giants Stadium gets resurfaced after the show anyway, and I've seen games played in worse conditions. It's just whether it's considered safe for the players.
In 2019 GWS played in the slippery snow, so the slippery mud won't be a problem. ;)

There's little to no precedent to stop an AFL game because it is raining — or for too many other reasons to be honest — although matches have been rescheduled or postponed before kicking off.
In 2012 a pre-season cup game between Essendon and St Kilda was cancelled after wet weather meant Essendon's plane could not land in Wangaratta.
Then, in 2016, Brisbane's pre-season match against the Saints was also cancelled when 200mm of rain in Mackay meant some of the re-laid turf on the field was literally floating away, making the surface too dangerous.

The AFL's Extreme Weather Policy states that if there is lightning predicted within 10km of the stadium, the game can be delayed by up to 60 minutes, or such other period determined by the AFL.
If the game is unable to start within that time, the match will be rescheduled.

AFL grand final weather forecast is for storms. Could the Gabba decider be postponed? - ABC News

North Melb.
Start Brockman, Berry, Gulden, Fullarton can be coverage for Rucks and donut if loses spot. Being a basketballer will have good ground skills as well and could spike. Bergman, Lazzaro are JS issues and therefore not in my starting team. Any North supporters able to put forward a case for Lazzaro
Lazzaro probably unlikely to hold his spot once Cunnington, Anderson, Polec, and Dumont all return.
