At this stage I’ll only trade Danger if he is gone for 3+ weeks and sacrifice the ~100 points lost on-field. He is still a clear top 3 fwd and will be a handy VC loop/E loop (mitigating the fwd rookie roulette) for round 3.
I'm tempted to let the masses decide for me.. currently ~50% ownership.. if that plummets I might role the dice and hold him as a POD.. but if not that many end up jumping off them I might make the trade to a mid prem and lock the point gain in.

Doing some quick maths here, it seems like it's already plummeted.

- His current ownership is 51.9% (78,024 teams).
- The 'traded out' column says he's been traded out of 17,249 teams, which means he was originally in a total of 95,453 teams (63.5%).
- This works out to about 18.3% of his former owners dumping him so far (17,429 out of 95,453).

And that's before the length of his suspension is known!

The recent footage of Danger lining up Kelly from about 2km out is pretty damning. I think he will struggle to convince the tribunal that he was protecting himself as there didn't appear to be any intention to tackle. So he bumped and caused max damage to Kelly (concussed, broken nose). Danger has the duty of care in this situation and he ****ed up (no matter what Kane Cornes says...).

People jumping off are doing so because it is at least three weeks. I have already ;)

I actually have no idea what to do with Danger

3+ he has to go , if it's 2 I think I will hold (and field Rowe) , might be a struggle to then get him back along with other upgrades I need.

Initial thinking was Heeney , but then my forward line only had room for one rookie onfield each week (don't own McDonald or Warner who maybe must haves depending on Round 2 scores.

Could sideways McNeil to Warner via DPP but then that gives me 6 premium mids.

Danger - > premium defender via Fantasia again though clogs up my forward line

Danger - > Titch

Not confident in nailing a breakout after 1 game as a season long keeper

6 premium mids + Gulden actually might be the better option

My worry is that I may need $$$ in the Bank for a possible BandAid solution for Hunter or should I not worry about that yet and just go bang right now

Any/all advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers

If I have to trade him, for me it needs to be to a season long keeper. I don't want to be locking in another trade again down the track.
I've got 5 premium defs and Jordan Clark, so I don't get a lot of value making a trade there.
If I went midfield it would be Titch or Walsh. Titch seems a really safe bet to be that season long keeper - Walsh with a little more risk given Williams coming back and the general unknown, but the extra cash could be useful to sort out the rucks sooner rather than later.
Up forward I feel like it would be swapping to a non-super-premium type (Heeney, Zorko etc.), given I've got Dusty and Dunkley already.
So mids it probably is.

Given 2 of my 3 on-field mid rookies are M/F, I don't mind loading up a 6th premium there if I have to. It makes no difference to who I am running on the ground week to week at this point.

Definitely needs to be a season long keeper.

Defence I am 4 premiums + Fantasia + 3 rookies.

Still think J Clark , Cumming & the young brothers could offer tremendous value their depending on Round 2 scores so not sure I want to committee to 5 premiums so soon.

Mids 4 premiums + Cripps

Fwds Danger , Dunkley , Dusty , Zorko , JZ + 3 rookies

3 Rookies ruck

The concern I have is will I need all/some of Jordon , McDonald & Warner and if both forward options how I fit them in (swing F/M premiums to the mids)

Also the bigger concern is if I need to fix Hunter where the only way would possibly be short term with Hickey/Martin.

Maybe I just lock in Danger - > Warner now then reassess and build the Bank for Round 3 and deal with it then.

Titch does look a enticing option though.

I'm running with 6 mids, Gulden and Powell/Berry/Sharp. Don't see a problem in that for me, although now have 4 rookies on field in the Fwds if I trade Danger to Mills giving me 5 premos in Def.

If Hunter is dropped (which I think would require both Marshall and Ryder to return) then I guess you would then have Meek at R2 and Fullarton for cover? I really don't think it's a worry unless both Hunter and Fullarton are dropped, even then you might risk Flynn & Meek with no cover for a week

Hunter to Warner (via Fullarton DPP). Fixed :p.
Danger to whoever you like.

Hunter needs a good game to be preferred over McKernan.

My impression was that McKernan did worse in the ruck than Hunter? McKernan might be preferred because of his Fwd ability?
Yeah, take it from me, Smack is an awful ruck. I didn't watch the game, but I'd guess his 5 FA, were all given away in the ruck contest - which would have be great for Flynn's score (4 FF, seems to make sense). Smack also 33% DE. 8 Clangers.

He's an enigma, but he's not a ruck. Good forward at times. Cult favourite at the Bombers, very likable.
