Zorko vs Heeney vs Walsh vs Williams vs Mills

How would you rank these to finish top 8 forwards (Zorko/Heeney), Top 10 mids (Walsh) and Top 8 defenders (Williams/Mills)
These ones are tricky as the top forward might be behind the top 8 defenders for points and averages. But taking that aside, my view is:

Zorko - top 8 for both aggregate points and average, but probably the bottom half
Heeney - potentially top 8 for average but not on aggregate points
Walsh - neither top 8 for average or aggregate points
Williams - neither top 8 for average or aggregate points
Mills - a bit of an unknown off 1 game, but I would say top 8 for both aggregate an average isn't impossible

I think the backline is tricky cause I think there will end up being a top 3-4, then a chasing pack from 5-12 that's too far apart.

Personally the only one I'd consider bringing in this week is Mills, followed by a soft maybe on Zorko.

Boak v Walsh as a Rowell replacement.
Boak a 32 year old midfielder playing NM in the first game of the year. Hurn looked amazing too. Expect TOG maybe unsustainable.

Walsh - mindful Williams to come back into team. Whilst playing Pies, would love to see how he goes with this.

If push comes to shove, Walsh. Taranto - did well in wet? Dunkley/Martin using dpp. Defender?

Boak looked unreal on the weekend - feels like a safe as houses pick.
Just watch out for the knee knock/cork he picked up in the 3rd, basically didn't touch it after that staying at FF for the rest of the game. Pretty sure it's nothing but the line is so fine on those midfield premiums it only takes a small drop off for a few weeks and it can crush them.

He looked phenomenal, was one of the standout players who I think the rules really suit. I would hope Essendon put some work into him this week though, North seemed to want him to have the ball.

Tom Mitchell + Lachie Young
vs
Hunter Clark + Jack Ziebell
Titch in a league of his own here but JZ is a must-have I reckon. Hunter Clark looks alright too so as an X vs. Y, I'd go the second option.

Hunter Clark v Bowes?
Hunter Clark.

Brayshaw (Freo) vs Walsh
Walsh.

McGrath. Had him in my early drafts back in November. Kicking myself at this stage.

Zorko vs Heeney vs Walsh vs Williams vs Mills

Mills
Walsh
Williams
Zorko
Heeney

Boak v Walsh as a Rowell replacement.
Walsh.

I am probably choosing between Dunkley v Mills v Titch as a Danger replacement.
Titch
Dunkley
Mills

In that order.

I hadn't seen that one so it's a good heads up - definitely worth waiting one more week just to making sure there are no lingering side impacts. Like you said, only needs a couple of weeks at less that his best and you can easily get him cheaper when he's recovered.

I'd take Sloane nervously, given it might be a flash in the pan game after last year's decline.
Would take McGrath - more upside opportunity, new rules likely to suit his style of game, another pre season and more mature body and coming into prime breakout territory. Sloane - on decline, so more likely to not increase and may possibly perform ok. Lowest risk choice is McGrath.

Had to laugh when I read " I hope Essendon put some work into him" was remembering the work we put into Mitchell in the 3rd quarter last week and leaving Zerrett stuck on the bench as well. Put Shiel on him, stop him kicking in hope everytime he gets the ball.

I'd go Mitchell. He was coming back from a full year out in 2019 but before that played 66/66 games from 2016-2018.

Extra game time can't hurt him at all either. Can see him getting back closer to a 120 average this year after going 119 and 129 in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Think last year in Covid, shortened quarters and being his first year back after a full year off of injury can be written off somewhat.

Fyfe will generally miss 2-3 games a year at a minimum which would mean even if you could replace him with a 90 scorer on those 3 games for example, he would need to average 125 to Mitchell's 120 for the season to be on par.

Has only gone above 115 average 1 of the last 5 seasons.

Even looking on the weekend, 27 touches (only 3 players in the game had 25+ touches), 5 marks, 5 tackles, 13 contested possession (Only 3 players had 10+) and 9 clearances (only 2 players had over 5!) could only generate 109 sc.

Hawthorn will be average this year though but I'm not sure Freo are going to be unstoppable. Add in the fact McEvoy > Meek/Darcy for silver service and the emergence of Brayshaw and Cerra, as well as Fyfe resting forward a fair portion.

Definitely Titch imo after those considerations.

Need a Dangerfield replacement. Needs to be a mid of fwd and preferably would like to bank some cash in this transaction and it has come down to two options for me. (Potentially could be trading in both over the next 2 rounds)

Heeney (against Crows) Vs Taranto (against Freo)

Who'll score more this week?

Be very interested in anyones thoughts on H. Young vs L. Young vs J. Clark.

One will come in for Harmes and I generally have every other rookie.

Zorko vs Heeney vs Heppell vs Caldwell

IF I am to trade danger, it is likely to one of the above, Zorko and Heeney straight keeper swap and profit some money. Heppell and Caldwell more so for money.

Have Flyntereek in the ruck, and am worried may need funds for Martin/Hickey
