I’m considering:

Tom Phillips to Andy Brayshaw.

Can anyone make a good case against that trade?
Nope, had Brayshaw all of last year and was very happy with his output as a Fwd, has progressed to a fulltime Mid and from what I understand handled a DeBoer tag pretty well. Was on my radar for the Gaff corrective trade. Out of the 2, I would choose Brayshaw as a season long keeper

I see a few are thinking of trading McNeill and holding Scott.

I thought McNeill did a couple of OK things. Honestly can’t remember seeing Scott at all (watched about two and a half quarters of the dogs game)
McNeil was good should hold, I'd be astounded if Scott kept JJ and/or Wood out this weekend.

Missed Jordon, so Dow will be traded down to him. Wouldn’t surprise me if Dow came good, but there’s selection risk on top of scoring risk, so have to go to the rookie that will make great $ quickly.

Phillips needs to be corrected. Annoyed with myself as he was in no preseason drafts, last man in. Thinking I’ll go down to Impey, and give myself some room to move if Taranto is horrible again next week.

Cripps is a hold for me.

Dow to Jordon
Phillips to Impey
Well, that was short lived.

Phillips survives by the skin of his teeth, and Cripps becomes Ridley

Brayshaw's time on ground is through the roof and hes playing as the main inside mid, think hes by far the best option if you've lost faith in a premium.

Not sure this week, probably best to hold trades, could be an advantage to be patient as people burn through them with aggressive sideways trades. View attachment 27882
2 rookies you are missing are Berry (69 last week) & Brockman (77 last week) - you could go Dow > Brockman (keep the fwd/mid link & pocket 83K) & Bruhn (horrible role) > Berry & pocket 40K, so gain 123K in total & get 2 good rookies who should make good coin.

Thanks mate.

Certainly agree with the top 3 but not sure about the order. Number 1 agreed but just need to work out if I back in Neale.
As @Herbie66 post somewhere today mentioned, Brissy have been consistent all preaseason that they wanted more players through their midfield. That Neale cash can be used better somewhere else.

Likely go Bruhn-Berry and Scott-Brockman after thinking about it, don't see how either of Bruhn and Scott hold their spot, want as little donuts as possible this early.

I think in the long run I'll be better off getting the rookies I missed rather than cutting under performing premos. Will miss out on more cash if I miss Jordon and Warner rather than going sideways on Taranto, Phillips or Cripps.

Unless Cripps is injured and ends up missing?
This. In my case I am after Jordan and Brockman. I have Cripps, Taranto and Neale. SC 101 says hold them, long way to go. Cripps may be sore but is still playing, Taranto is, as Jack Dyer would have said, he’s a good ordinary footballer, Neale can play more than a bit.

I’m so tempted to pick tex but I just can do it. fyfe having 1 cba worries me a bit, I would love to swap him to Bradshaw. Is that wasting a trade?
Fyfe to Brayshaw
Phillips to butters.... thoughts?

Just reminiscing about 2015, when Tex scored 177 in Rd 1 and a whole bunch of people traded him in.

Only to score 72, 76, 26 and 76 the next 4 weeks.
Valid point

2021 football is vastly different to the game in 2015 though

The 2021 version of Walker looks as fit as he has been in the last decade as well

I think if you have Impey already then that’s great and you would be happy with the pick.

He doesn’t look to be a must-have though imo. He went at an insane 95% DE on the weekend so had an excellent SC to DT ratio. The week before he went at 75% DE for 64 SC. I think he’s a good option but likely to average around 70 from here which doesn’t make him a must-have at his price in my opinion.
Should I keep Jones on the bench for one more game and cross my fingers and wish for a 70+ game against the Saints,?

You considering him?
If he can get to $ 450k in 3 rounds he then becomes a very easy option to a R1/R2 (hopefully we have worked out the best 2 Rucks by then)

He still is only making that $ 150k profit though and "costing" me more to get him , BUT in that 3 rounds how much more does he score over a rookie.

I actually think the aggressive play this round would be to get Ridley & Walker.

The smart (long term) play is to possibly get the best rookies I am missing , but is that too safe and conservative.
