I dont think CJ/Atkins types have to be keepers, if they can score 80-100 for a couple months its alot better than a rookie on field throwing up the odd 30, I have a structure based around those types and scored 2366 in Round 2.
Good structure

Still think maybe starting 6-10 of these $ 200-300k players is/was the right way to go (obviously need the right ones).

Limit onfield rookies to 5-6

Not 100% convinced its sustainable to be honest but it's what I did, have CJ,Atkins,Impey,Ziebell,Young and Clark and will be bringing in Tex after trades.

Be interested to see how it goes

Clark , Cummins , Fantasia , Young x 2

Daniher , Dow , Impey , Ziebell

etc etc were all talked about in lengths preseason

2 at D4-5 , 2 at F4-5 minimum could be the right way

very nice selection in Atkins , looked at Jiath myself but ended up going just Fantasia

If they all get to that add 85-90 mark and make $ 150k then they have worked

Kinda sucks that a reasonable POD in Ridley is being shut down so early, wish he had waited until round 3 to go nuts.

Oh well, dems the breaks *shrugs*
Only up 3.6% still under 15% still a good poddish selection. I'm more disappointed in Mills doubling to 6.8% per cent. Really liked his ownership at 3%!

Still not entirely decided on Cripps to Ridley or Brayshaw (keeping Highmore at D6). Ridley looks guaranteed top 4 defender right now but Brayshaw as well looking like an upper echelon midfielder.

With Sharp being dropped, not sure if I still want to proceed trading Jones out for Jordon.
Feels like I need to keep whoever gets named.

Any chance that Jones gets dropped this week those in the know?

I was thinking this also, looked at the Bombers board and no-one has him being dropped, tbf they also do have a lot of injury issues to cover first.

I'd like to bring in Ridley or Bowes or possibly both; however I don't want to push Highmore to the bench as he's one of the better scoring rookies so far.

I know if I bring in Jordon I'll break him.

Bumping this, hoping for some community wisdom :D
Problem is I think a lack of certainty on Bowes within the community. He is very high on my list, but I'm probably not/not going to take him. It's so close. (Vs Titch/Freoshaw for me). Ridley is certain a top6 as the come. If you've got space for Bowes and Ridley and you want both then consider Bowes. Also consider taking Brockman, Bergman, Giro or other rookie you missed/like with Bowes if you need some further correction $ week 3. There appears enough onfield rookies to minimise the benefit of the extra scoring Imp brings. That said, the Imp is a good pick.

Cheers

Is Warner a must have rookie? I have Cripps and Heppell to deal with.. 1 potentially not playing (2 missed games) and one playing injured so output reduced..

1 trade is to Jordan, just don’t know whether to go up to premo or grab Warner for $$ generation.. 30 trades still left
Yes I believe Warner is a must have. Watched both his games and pre season, this guy can play. Definitely passed the eye test and SC test for me. Can't see him getting dropped anytime soon, arguably one of the first players picked to be fair. So yes, get Warner in. Looking like a top 3 rookie at this stage
