Daniel situation is quite easy , sit him in the centre square and he becomes the lateral/45 distributor or if he doesn't kick he just handballs to the outlet.
Similar to when Sam Mitchell sat between the arcs and distributed by hand , let Daniel use his foot skills , still think 35-40m precision kicking is a lot more effective than kicking long to a 50/50 contest the majority of the time.
Most teams kick long , turn it over and it is just a circle work game on repeat.
Be amazing if some coaches actually created/used some different tactics.
Open up the game and use the space , quick precision diagonal ball movement is the key.
Unfortunately most teams don't have enough players with above average kicking skills.
Would love to see the Hawthorn team of years gone by playing today , absolute elite kicking skills.
