Can't believe that he played out the game. I can't remember a season like this year with the amount of injuries to SC relevant players.
Topic for another thread, but with the dis-engagement coming from casual players dropping out over the coming weeks, I think we will see changes to the game next year.
Guess I'm a casual player; losing the will to keep going with all the injuries, unreliable rookies and, having to monitor my team all weekend because of the team announcements and medical subs. I don't think I have had a full strength team in any round as of yet.

I think that there are thousands that feel the same. Its only the hardcore players that will stay motivated through to the the end of the season I think. This will be the trigger to make changes prior to next year.

I don't think SC can do anything about the injuries or poor scoring Rookies, but they can do something about having to monitor teams all weekend because of the team announcements and medical subs.

Actually, I would like them to do something soon that won't disadvantage any teams.

this will be an unpopular opinion here but I think copying AFL fantasy is the option with how things have changed.

- 2 trades per round
- the ability to reverse a trade after a round has started provided at can be undone without changing locked out players.
- price rises after one game. reward grabbing a rookie straight away, u can’t just sit and wait while everyone jumps on.
- i actually see more different teams in my AF matchups, yet in my SC ones it’s rare to have more than 6 different players.
- the way they do pricing actually makes it harder to generate money despite 2 weekly trades

think the game has gone beyond ‘holding trades’ ‘it’s too easy mentality.

I'm pretty sure I'm firmly in the hardcore players and even I'm tested by all those issues.

It's genuinely hard work this year. I can't imagine the casual fans who just want to have a bit of banter with their mates.

think the balance of fun and work has gone more towards work. Think a shocking injury run makes it look worse which can’t be helped. The biggest fun killer is the rolling teams.

I think making teams more unique with a bigger range of options would be amazing. It’s just a pool of 30-40 premos and all the same rookies.

Yeah, rolling teams AND the subs is awful. Wish they'd make them name the sub up front. The problem is it really only matters to fantasy coaches so the AFL don't give a ****.

The hard part is achieving that without increasing the luck factor. For example the LOL position changes achieve it but they're so random and unpredictable that they just make it complete luck, like Gawn has spent as much time forward as any ruck except English but they pick a random few and give them FWD over him.

I think a utility position might achieve that slightly, at least early in the season. The hard part is we only have a few rookies so everyone has them and then there are a few value locks that everyone has, so you end up with about 3 positions on each line that are varied.

I'd like them to tweak the price change system to be more favourable to midprice selections personally. They're the most fun to pick, they offer the most variety but right now they're mostly bad picks, even in this absurd season where a ridiculous amount have come off.

Could not agree more.

Prefer the Supercoach scoring system, UI and UX but wish it had the AFL fantasy rules.

It's more fun (trading is fun), keeps you more engaged when you cop injuries and poor scores as you can actually do something about it, has more variety in teams, arguably requires more strategy as you need to buy and sell more regularly and best of all (in my opinion) requires less luck.
