After this Round I will have 5 onfield rookies :-

Mansell
Powell , Jordon
Warner , McCreery

Their current value is $ 1,321,400.00

If I allow $ 500k for each upgrade (not enough for mids) , I need to find $ 1,178,600.00

Current Bank = $ 242,800.00

so essentially need $ 935,800.00

The only viable players on my bench to use as downgrades are Berry , McNeil , Flynn & Rowe their current value is $ 915,700.00

Trading them all down to a $ 123,900.00 gives me $ 495,600.00

$ 935,800.00 - $ 495,600.00 = huge problems 😀

Essentially need my 5 onfield players & 4 bench players to all rise another $ 50k minimum each before trading.

Off to the bargain bin I go.

Oh and I need to upgrade Mumford as well.

Plus I have May , Daniel , Cripps & Stringer averaging in the 80's.

Just need to find the value and make every $ count.

It can be done......maybe
Amazing what you can find , Darcy Moore could be $ 310k in 3 more games (possible D6 value option)

Jeremy Howe approx $ 400k

Mansell - > Howe/Houston/Moore I can accept , pump $$$ saved into $ 550k mids

My Round 9 target is Marshall.

Hopefully by bringing in Stringer this round I can keep Warner for longer and go :-

Berry - > rookie
Rowe - > Marshall (move McCreery to F7)

then work on Mansell - > Houston/Howe/Moore as a D6 option

Hey legends, I feel like I should know the answer to this question but hey, here we are...

Exploring my loophole options.

If you have 2 emergencies selected in the same position and a non-playing on ground player my understanding is you get “the lowest of the two scores”...

But what if one of the EMG also doesn’t play? Does it default to the 2nd EMG score?

You won’t get a DNP score so it won’t default to a 0. You’ll get the playing players score.

Depends when you're next flag tilt is projected to be. Given all those guys are in a pool I take it you don't play very deep squads at all.

Probably three of Adams, Crouch, Billings, Simpkin. Taking only one of Adams or Crouch if you don't think you are in the frame in the next couple of years, if not taking both of them and only one of Billing/Simpkin.

The presumably small squads and thus number of keepers, you should be comfortably able to turn a list around in no time at all and challenge again with the likes of those blokes as FAs.

What in the name of keeper leagues is this monstrosity! How are those guys not being tucked away!

For mine...

Crouch - Is the best pure scorer of the group, decent age profile.

Yeo - Very decent chance he plays forward or back a lot on return and could pick up either of those positions, OP is a monster injury though and he's only been a premium about once.

Shuey - No.

Coniglio - Similar to Yeo in that he could end up forward a fair bit on return as he works back and conceivably get FWD status but similar to Yeo, has struggled to hit genuine premium numbers.

Adams - Durability is very hit and miss with him, seems to have a great preseason and play the whole year or vice versa, he's the 2nd best pure scorer of this group though.

Dumont - Not in the class of the other guys, scored great last year when everyone was missing.

Billings - Has moved back to the wing the last two weeks after spending a month marooned in the FWD pocket. Got FWD status in AFL Fantasy but would need another month probably to get there at seasons end but it's possible. For mine he's basically maxed out his SC though as he's not getting inside mid time anymore which is still easily his best role but they've got a dozen guys who can only play there and he's a legitimately great winger and HF also.

Simpkin - I don't know what his issue is, he's taken a big step back this year despite a great role and no competition.

For mine I'd take Crouch and Adams unless you want to speculate on guys getting other positions. They're the two with legitimate 115+ cases and probably the least concerning injury histories (somehow). The third I'd probably speculate on Coniglio or Billings getting FWD or Simpkin who should improve and be a 105 type guy and has better durability.

Just had a look at my bye structure and by accident I'll have 20-21-16 of my current team available, if Highmore plays (yeah, right) then 21-22-16.

With not much in the way of rookies on the horizon yet (Rosas?) and most/all of my rookies still mooing and only Highmore and Treacy not playing then I'm gonna try and cool my trading jets until after the 1st bye.

Of course if something worthwhile presents then I'll look at it, but that's my preferred path especially with only 15 trades left.

After 8 rounds 5 of the top 10 forwards started between $212,800(Impey) and $319,800(McKay).
Start $ > Peak $
#1 Ziebell $257,900 > $599,200*
#2 Impey $212,800 > $451,100*
#3 Walker $298,200 > $491,900
#8 Dale $298,500 > $444,800
#9 McKay $319,800 > $454,300*
Good post.

If you extend it to under 350k (ish) starting price, you get 12 of the top 20.

MacDonald, hind, Atkins, naughton, Pickett, Bruce, Daniher

amazing really

Would have been nice to grab a couple more early but the round I wanted to the rookie Rucks were starting to go missing so I kept the cash to "fix" my R2.

Hi All
Cam Rayner what do you expect him to average in Supercoach next season and following? Will he keep a forward status?

Impossible to predict really on projection. Does he come back clean from round one? Does he have issues?

He's not well known for his training habits and ACL rehab is arduous and a genuine mental battle. Some guys like Robbie Gray realise how important footy is to them and come back re-dedicated and become an absolute star and then you've got the other end of the scale with a guy like NicNat who find other endeavours and really do the bare minimum to make it back as much for the platform as anything. Then you've got the guys who don't make it back at all but generally that first season back is a battle for confidence and form so it's really hard to predict.

Position would be a shock if it changed, I can't think of anyone getting a position change after not playing.

Despite that, I thought he was a good chance to make a move towards the 80-85 range this year but now the injury may severely hamper his midfield move on which that was largely based and I think it's pretty early to try and guess but would be surprised if he went any higher than that. I wouldn't be giving up much at all for what I assume is a keeper league decision, even in a deep league I'd think you're hoping for an F6 type of pick out of him.

Fantastic response, cant disagree with any of it. Much appreciated.

Hmmm. Not a positional move... Was playing injured after the Geelong match. He missed a lot of goals... think he will improve.. but yeah - I've already removed him. lol. I may as well not post another team in fact. swings and roundabouts
Actually... your comment cost me a fair bit. Should have trusted and backed myself. @Bontempele
