Need to dump the deadwood
OUT Highmore, F. Macrae
IN Brynes via Sharp, Poulter
What are you achieving with these trades?
Are you generating cash for your next upgrade? Are you gaining points from the upgrade?
Sideways trades are incredibly wasteful at this time of the year, you're effectively setting yourself back an entire week on an upgrade to get two guys whose job security is at best "currently better" than the guys you're trading, from the same teams. Bad game from Poulter and it could easily be Poulter out Macrae in next week.
Have to think you've got guys that are nearly peaked that would make more sense or something else that can be done?
Really the only reason I'd be looking that way right now is if you avoid donuts this round by doing it.
It looks like Mason Redman (6) has taken over Ridley (3) as the #1 kick-in taker. I'm not sure whether that will continue, but I'm now happy to wait a week on Ridley and use this week to double downgrade. Would like to see Ridley go back to dominating kick-ins before bringing him in as I think that was a big factor in his high early-season scores.
I reckon it has as much to do with Ridley being glued to Greene for most of the game, was a pretty strong shut down role he copped and makes sense, Greene is that super unique matchup that really only Ridley fits, he's too smart for the Laverde/Francis combo, too "big" for Hind/Redman and too quick for Heppell. There's maybe one or two other guys in the league where that's the case.
Though worth watching, Redman did a pretty good job but Ridley will generally still be the loose man instead of the lockdown guy and is a class above most defenders. Great value for those who didn't start him right now.
