Heavy in Rd 12, in trouble for Rd 13 - so targeting Rd 12 trade ins. Considering one up / one down this week - Scott and Powell for Weightman (rd 13 ) and one of Whitfield, Mitchell or Touk.

Favouring Touk but he's $44k more expensive than Titch - is he worth it?

Thinking about Hall and Heeney in...

Probably Zorko, though.

Also, when is Bolton due back?

Moved Laird to the mids last week to get Ridley.
Am considering leaving him there for the duration (not locked but certainly loaded).
Is this crazy?
Midfield depth is considerably stronger than Defence depth, so yes this is objectively crazy if you want a competitive team
Yet it's justafiable to trade Cerrra in......Funny ol'season.

Trading one up one down to build bank and get a rookie off field

Scott and Jordon to Heeney and Weightman/Madden/Murray.

Need the rookie traded in to play and generate more cash (and provide some points on ground probably) but really struggling to work out who has the best JS there.

I've got Dusty but would almost rather Daniher at the moment. Has hit some really good consistency and found his role at the Lions.
I started Dusty , currently 11th on aggregate , imagine if he finishes outside the Top 8 by season's end.

Not bad cosidering all but one of those above him (TEX) have played one more game than him, 8th on average
The majority above him probably also cost half Dusty's starting price as well , could have got 2 midpricers instead of one premium

Any thoughts on Buddy Franklin at $380K?
He's an easy trade-up from Warner & with Sydney emerging as a live finals hope, I can't see them resting him too much from here on.
I've had him for 3 weeks. Got him in after he'd gone 60-60-130. Thought I'd get some short term cash gen as the 130 rolled through.

Since I've had him he's also gone 60-60-130

The question is, do we expect that's about his level. Which gives you an average of 83, with spike scores making up the majority of the good side, and rubbish scores the rest. Or are those 60s because he was working into form after a layoff, and he's more likely to go 80s here with the occasional 130 or even 150.

He has a high top end, and I am sure we won't get consistency, and he will miss games. But if you can loop him at F7 you might end up with some big scores occasionally.

I've given up on him as a cash gen piece for a bye slingshot. Mainly because there's no obvious option. If Danger is back and fallen in price though it might work

Anyone going anywhere near Walters? might be a good cheap option at F6/7 if he can get his form back
The issue with him is not his form, its his role and also durability. You can go over his CBA attendances and there's a strong correlation between it and his good scores. With Brayshaw out on the weekend, he had a number of CBA attendances (namely he was playing on the ball) and thus scored well. Brayshaw will be back this week so.....

If Fyfe's foot issue becomes something more serious, touch wood it doesn't, you could possibly consider Walters but if you do pick him you have to be sure he's going to get on-ball time else you're locking in a player who will have a lot of mediocre scores.

Disagree a bit here, he isn't going to play midfield this year and Horse/Heeney have been pretty clear about that in all their media but he is playing a better role as a HF and is pushing through the midfield a lot more over the last two weeks. He will score better than his price if he stays fit but I don't think he can go much past 95 as a best case and probably more likely mid to high 80s (weekend a very typical game for him). Not a bad pick but there are quite probably better ones given his injury risk.
This is fair. We don't really have a data-set on this as yet, given the amount of time Heeney has played midfield historically (even in a pinch-hit capacity), but having Franklin in that team possibly does help Heeney a bit in terms of scoring. So I think if you're betting on Heeney you should not only be looking at his durability but Franklin's as well. Franklin takes up a lot of focus from opposing defences, as it should, leaving less focus on Heeney.

For the record, I think it’s madness trading Carra in too.

Midfield ‘ins’ at this point of the season should be exclusively guys you’re expecting to go 110+ (hopefully discounted but happy to pay full freight for others)

No idea why you’d want a probably list clogger at M8, even if he is 400k. Totally different story if he had Fwd eligibility.
