COVID AND POSTPONED GAMES

The SCSUL Commissioner is monitoring the current Covid19 outbreak and the impact this has on games during the current fixture round 11 this weekend, and subsequent rounds. When the situation is clear the Commissioner will make a statement as to the scoring of round 11 games, and future fixtures.

It's believed that if only the Gold Coast v Hawthorn game is affected, then the same process will apply as the Melbourne v Essendon game in 2020.

I may be misremembering it, but I think the round sat in limbo and was going to be completed once the match was played. However, it got rescheduled so late in the season that a decision was made to complete it one weekend using whatever scores ESS & Melb players scored in their respective matches just so round 3 could be completed.

The SCSUL Commissioner has announced this morning that all systems are go for a normal weekend of games. Best 22 and normal lockout timings are in place for the first week of the Sir Doug Nicholls rounds.
