Ridley vs Blicavs

have looked at blics all day but stanley back in will affect his ruck time but to what degree? since the move of sav and he into the ruck against Richmond in round 8 blics is averaging 104. owned by 2 teams in the top 1k so an ultra pod

Ridley looked back to normal last week but much more popular at 76% owned in the top 1k

Would love your opinions

If Stanley was injured it could be a good pod move but with the uncertainty about his role I think the risk of him turning into a negative pod is a bit too high. Especially at 490k.. if it was a cheap buy (say Hayne) it could be worth it if the cash then also got you an upgrade elsewhere, but I think on the merits of the X v Y I’d close the Ridley pod instead. Especially given the form he was in across the first few rounds!

Ryan v Mills v Rich to replace Docherty. I foolishly missed both Stewart and Ridley last night. I’m thinking of going down the road less travelled here with Rich & Ryan in 7 & 8 percent of teams respectively.

Ryan the front runner personally.

Both Mills & Rich role's won't change from hereon so expect them to continue on their current scoring trajectory. Ryan (I'm an owner) has that POD factor as you've identified but comes at the cost of a lower floor countered with a high ceiling.

Of the 3, I would rank them Mills > Ryan > Rich in order of preference.

Marshall v De Goey v Buddy
I feel like Marshall is the safest pick, which is a sentence I didn't think I'd say in 2021. If you want to be aggressive and risk losing 2000 ranks to gain 2000, then Buddy is the play. Has such a tasty run home, even if he misses a game, he could go bonkers when he's on the park. Maybe I don't give De Goey enough thought, I just couldn't bring myself to pick him.

The one that's been on my mind all week is Hawkins vs. Marshall? A key detail worth mentioning is that I don't have a R/F swing so Marshall does not include ruck cover for me (I already have Zac Smith).

Retrospective - 3
Coming into Round 10 there were heaps of impassioned posts and members weighing in on the merits of trading in Dusty Martin vs Aaron Hall.
There have now been 6 rounds of actuals since then and I have been tracking the outcome 2 rounds at a time. The Hall camp have been way ahead on both counts - points & $$$. After a good result in R15 Dusty had almost closed the gap, but Hall did well again this week.
This little table shows the round 10-16 comparisons.

The blue labelled column adjusts Dusty's points up by a factor of about 7% - given that his points were purchased for a lower price.
On raw figures Hall has 5/6 tons and Dusty has 2/6 - adjusted its 4/6

5 trades left and need to make final upgrade: CCJ and Highmore out (via moving Bianco to Def).

Option 1: Danger/Fyfe (GC) Leaves mid bench of Fyfe (GC) Edwards and Newcombe – but with potential to swing Laird or Bianco to mids

Option 2: Marshall/Sharp (GC) Leaves mid bench of Sharp (GC), Edwards and Newcombe – and gives me potential ruck cover for Gawn/Grundy via swinging Edwards into the forward line for Marshall

Option 3: Butters (if named)/Sharp (GC) Leaves same mid bench as option 2 but no ruck cover.

Original plan was CCJ and Highmore to Danger and Sharp (GC), but CCJ's 5 has ruined that, so have had to reconsider. Kind
of leaning to Option 3, but that might be due to loving the way Butters goes about it. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I feel you with Butters.. love the way that kid plays! But from a pure SC perspective, it is hard to take him when Danger is only 32k more expensive!

I don't mind option 2 if the extra cash means you can use your last 3 trades to do 1 downgrade and 2 strong upgrades (something like Cripps -> Lyons/Miller/Parish types), but personally I think Danger will comfortable outscore Marshall/Butters and you'll have 3 trades to cover injuries or make some smaller luxury upgrades so would lean towards option 1.

Makes a lot of sense. My only really weak premium is Heeney, so some cash could be useful - he could even become Butters once Butters has bottomed out. Really appreciate the advice Chumpion.

Ah Heeney.. I feel your pain there! If all goes to plan you can easily do Newcombe or Bianco down and Heeney up in a few weeks, but if the injuries pile up having him at F6 isn't the worst position to be in. Good luck with the rest of the season!

Trade Bolton (BE 167) or Weightman (F6) to Danger????

Bolton has thrown a couple poor scores out there - anyone have a view on why he has been poor. talk of scans a couple of weeks ago.

Option 1: Weightman to Danger, team complete 5 trades + CCJ. Bolton either recover or traded to say a Dunkley for 3 trades (2 trades left + $100k in cash).

Option 2: Bolton to Danger, let Weightman run for 2-3 games and look to upgrade to Dunkley (3 trades left, no cash).

Same to you - hope you end strongly, thanks again Chumpion.

If one had to trade CCJ to a forward sub $385,600 that is yet to play?

Heeney 🤫, Darling, Chol or TJ Lynch, asking for a friend, lol???

As bad as Heeney has been is he still the best option?

McKay worth putting in the mix. Averaging around 80 ex injury, and has a pretty good draw coming up. I got him last week.
