Have the same situation. Curran, Paris and Dre going.

Relying on 2 of finch, Nielsen and Seymour. If it’s latter 2, may as well be 2 donuts.
The way I see it most peoples last on field spot is a **** player anyway, likely only losing 20 or 30 points whilst far from ideal its not the end of the world, getting the top end Scorchers feels a greater priority, especially when they back up again prior to a Round 11 bye.

Exactly. I’ll take the hit for a week, and build to having 13 class players to pick over the next few weeks - going to be backing class. May lose Phillipe to enable it. Eyes on some fallen guns/cheap pods.

Honestly found over my sc career that weeks I expect to bust often end up as good weeks so 🤞

Yeah .. probably just trying to convince myself ...

- Anyway ... currently an out for me (pending team selections) and will move on ...
He’s a hold for me, purely do a DGR in round 6, but he’s crap. If I didn’t have forced trades in Curran, Paris and needing to move on a Star I’d probably punt Duckett

Tossing up 2 options for my team at the moment.

Option 1:
Philippe / Neilsen
Marsh, Munro, Inglis, Garton, Hughes* / Duckett*, Connolly
Tye, Behrendorf, Agar, K Richo, Seymour* / Bartlett*, Maxwell

6 strong Scorchers, but have to hold onto Seymour, who loops with Bartlett. Duckett loops with Hughes.
Uses both Sams and Curran, who both have BE's around 140, so should be able to come back in at cheaper prices.
Down side that it keeps Seymour in the team.

Option 2:
Philippe / Neilsen
Marsh, Munro, Inglis, Agar, Hughes* / Duckett*, Larkin
Tye
, [Hatzoglou/Mills*], K Richo, Garton, Bartlett / Maxwell, Connolly

Hatz/Mills* replaces Behren, allowing me to rid myself of Seymour.
Down to one loop, Duckett and Hughes.
Down side, no Dorf.
My vote goes to Option 1 ... by a fair mile ...

- Don't really rate Munro or Duckett ... but still a solid line up and like the loops ...

Personally not that crazy about Behrendorff, 150K for a guy that doesn't bowl at the death and tends to not bowl his 4th over quite frequently just feels steep to me, always the chance he gets rested with his extensive injury history aswell

I guess if you look at the three player pool (Dorff, Mills, Hatzoglou) ....

- Dorff is reasonably consistent ..
- Mills has had one good game but not the "BBL" history to back it up ...
- Hatzoglou ... doesn't have a great ceiling to me and left MELR into a very strong line up of bowlers ..

How much credence can you really give to Mills last stint out here that's the real question to weigh up 2017/18 is a fair while ago now, I'd argue he's a better bowler now and when you consider his price and role he really feels like a no brainer selection to me.

Once that game was moved from Perth he has become an absolute 🔒 for me.

Amazing to think when the signing was announced , so many people here quickly wrote him off

Like I said at the time when Morgan was talking him up 18 months ago , I took notice.

Can't agree enough, he has talked about his last stint here, who cares what happened three years ago, he was great in the World Cup and had an immediate impact in his first game.

In: Inglis A Agar Guthrie
Out: Zampa W Agar Paris

$40k
Phillippe / Clarke
D.Short M.Marsh Inglis M.Short Finch / Maxwell Gilkes
Sams Dorff Jordan A Agar Guthrie / Kerr Faridoun

Would like to bring Mills in, but going with 4 scorchers and keeping some bank to afford Mujeeb & Lynn in prep for R6 without having to trade out some premium players.
Might bring in Renshaw instead of Guthrie.
Gilkes cover if he fires or if Finch stays in commentary.
349th overall.

My thoughts on the next round, no doubt we have all been burnt by DGR selections that have not come off. Meanwhile in their SGR we have seen Sams, Munro, Philippe, Wade etc make heaps more than plenty of DGR players. I already have Marsh and Agar in my team, expecting them to keep as long as there is a reason not to, will be bringing in Mills and Inglis and Guthrie next round.

I'm only bringing in new players if I think I would be happy to hold them for the rest of the season, very happy that everyone in my team at present I am OK to be there.

The more I look at the BRI team ... not sure how Duckett will keep his spot ...

- Ie. Bazley, Guthrie, Wildermuth etc all probably offer more if push came to shove ...
Lucky for Duckett his a batsman and the rest are not.... and Heat batting depth is very poor with only Tom Cooper to come in and that's unlikely unless they are really struggling.
