As some of you are aware, I am coming dead last for overall points and team value in the SCS group. At this point, there is no real point trying anymore but you must always remember the number 1 rule of super coach or fantasy sports is that you never ghostship. So in saying that I am pressing a full reset button on my team with my trades this round.

I only decided to go with two Stars players so I had more flexibility to swap an underperforming player out but SOK and Curran sustained injuries and that plan is out the window.

My new plan is to do a premo to mid pricer and next round do basement players to midpricer. This allows me to clean up that awful bench I have and get Hughes out of my team.
What I'm thinking of doing is:
DreRus --> Bazley ( for DGW in a couple of rounds)
Curran --> Renshaw
SOK --> Mills

This would give me a handy 176k to use next round were might go:
Hughes to Hales
Cooper to Bryant ( for the DGW)
Faridoun to Sangha

My team would look something like after the two rounds
Phillipe (Neilson)
Renshaw, Munro, Inglis, Bazley, Hales (Bryant and Finch)
Mills, Sangha, Stoin, Agar, MMarsh ( DC and Connoly)

This is obviously a risk because I would have to feild a donut this round and take a points hit but on the flipside, I have nothing to lose

Hobson & Moody added to the Scorchers Squad.

I gather if they are no longer playing at home anymore they would have their entire Squad traveling in any case.

No idea if they can get a LRP for Connolly.

Can't remember what happened when the Renegades had players involved in the U19 WC previously.

BE 87 this round. Be nice if he sort of got close to that before getting him, make his BE more achievable during his DGR
Definitely on $ watch , if I knew Steketee & Swepson were going to play both games in their DGR would probably take them both over Lynn.

Timing of other trades though means probably have to move on Lynn for Round 5 unless we get clarity on Steketee & Swepson before then.

Will need to get Mujeeb + Wade in Round 6.

Really need 3 high value Heat players to then trade out in Round 7.

Other thing is, Hurricanes have the bye in round 7, so don’t want too many of those also. Starting to think 6-7 might be the number for the round 6 DGR

Wade, Short, McDermott and Ellis/Meredith

Lynn, Mujeeb and maybe Steketee. Though I’m still holding Duckett so will have to play him as well

Hurricanes I hope I can hold at least 2 over their Bye for their next DGR.

Mind you I have no players what so all that I can trade out in Round 7 , so no idea what to do then , absolute minefield trying to navigate 7-11.

Once I get clarification on a few of the Heat/Hurricanes players I am looking at , can then finalise looking at that.

Really need 6 Heat players for Round 6 to then trade them all out the following 2 rounds.

Its tough when the season is over this early and there is not much to play for. I noticed that you, myself and the illustrious @Herbie66 are all in that bottom 4, about 35 points between us all. I propose a gentleman's wager amongst the triumvirate, whoever loses at seasons end has to change his profile picture to something the winner decides, it stays up until the first sherrin is kicked.

Its okay if you are scared, lads....

That is true, although keeping cash in the bank is an option if desired. I thought about doing that in R1, but ultimately “overpaid” for Mujeeb because he was the logical C option.
I think I have about $ 20k in the Bank at this stage to play with but have grand ideas of trading in Maxy , RK19 & Sams all in Round 7 , think I might be in big trouble.

Just need the 3 Heat players to be at least $ 150k each at the end of Round 6 to make it all work.

Have 2 Scorchers that I can trade out , but limited eleswhere.

It's fun though trying to piece the jigsaw together.

Hey mate

I know you don't like accepting my advice in the past 😀

BUT

If Finch returns (use him as Bat 5) and just leave Cooper & Hughes on your bench.

I own Hughes as well and see little point in "wasting" money in upgrading him.

Only 2 more rounds after this Round where teams are on Byes so you may not even need him as cover.

4 Scorchers sets you up nicely for Round 4.

I would be using Curran , DreRuss & SOK's dollars to get D Short & Wade (before they both rise) and then if $ allow Mills or Bazley or Renshaw or Lamichhane.

Hales definitely is the value option for Round 5.

Up to you

Only 3 rounds down , plenty of time to turn things around.

Ive got a 9 point start on you .
I figure that if we have no way of winning, we should at least have a reason not to lose. Full disclosure- Im gonna do an awful microsoft paint job on that magpie, maybe just a complete hitjob on Collingwood in general. Or worse. There will be tears. Lift your game or feel the burn!

Current team with 4k in the bank. I’m trying to hold Maxwell on my bench and trade out Russell, Stoinis and Zampa and looking to bring in Mills, Inglis/Dorff/Tye and one of Hales/Lamichhane. Unfortunately the outs don’t allow me to grab 3 Scorchers that I’d like unless I wanted to take a punt on one of the cheaper ones. Main question is deciding between Hales or Lamichhane? Hales with a decent match up this week or Lamichhane to start prepping for the next double?
