Nothing to do with the BBL but you've got to feel sorry for Joe Root.
His record this calendar year is outstanding: 14 matches, 1,606 runs, 64.24 av.
The other English batsmen?
Hameed: 5 matches, 198 runs, 24.75 av.
Burns: 10 matches, 496 runs, 27.55 av
Malan: 4 matches, 274 runs, 45.66 av.
Stokes: 6 matches, 256 runs, 23.27 av.
Pope: 9 matches, 364 runs, 22.75 av.
Butler: 8 matches, 319 runs, 26.58 av.

So the next 5 English batsmen in this test have scored 18 runs less than Root this year. Less tests, of course, but what a burden for Root to carry.

goin to finalise my team soon so i got bison mills agar thinking of going with only 3 for double it suits my team better and thinking of getting darcy short, sangha or sandeep but still working that out yet and what is the final trades for everyone?

For me it's Tye vs a 2nd Scorchers bat (other Scorchers likely to be Agar, Mills and Marsh). I'm not sure I want to underinvest in their batting this round with a game at Blundstone, and the Marvel pitch also looked a bit quicker than usual in the one game held there so far.
