Like the look of him but I think it will take an injury to a mid or us playing Langford purely as a forward for him to get decent mid time. Otherwise it’s Parish, Merrett, Stringer, Shiel, McGrath, Caldwell and Langford over him in the CBA pecking order
We’ll probably have injuries 😂

North Melb.
My new draft with English at R2 has ended up giving me Sicily at D5, almost without me realizing it, so I guess that’s an option if required!
Good to know what structures you would go with should we be short rookies somewhere...

Some tinkering around had a team with:
- 5 Def prems to Whitfield at D5
- 4 Mid prems to Neale M4
- 1 premo ruck and Luke Jackson
- Dunkley, Duncan and the mid price brigade

It actually looked like a reasonably decent side!

Of topic. Got COVID a couple days ago and it differently knocks you around. You can see how people get seriously ill from it.
My first post. The very best of luck BB. You won't only pull through but will also witness another Tiger flag this year. Cheers mate. Re Dusty and Duncan, depends where they play Dusty if he plays pre season. Just on face value leaning towards Duncan. All the best !!

Welcome to the site!

I tend to agree re erring on Duncan. I’d want Dusty to be both fit and hungry in round 1 to start him, and I’m not 100% sure on either. With other good options in the forward line this year, I think he could be more of an upgrade target.

There are good options. Dunkley, Duncan, trealor, butters, heeney, coniglio. The only problem none of them are durable. How many injury prone players can you risk?

Hi All ,
In a keepers league whats the thoughts on Dylan Moore at the Hawks? Appears a breakout season likely? Expected SC average.
Good luck big boy.
See the comment I made a few days ago about Butters where there's usually at least one player I go one year early on. I started Moore last season, and I hope he has a very good year this year. Maybe he is the one to break out!

...I'm not picking him this year. He is turning into a very good player, but I think he is settled spending the majority of time forward now, rather than getting the mid time I hoped he might get as a good runner when I chose him last year. He does still push into the midfield, but looking at the recent draft, the Hawks just recruited 5 midfielders. Seems clear the plan is that he will not be a first choice mid, more of a forward.

In that role, an 85 average and you would say he's had a good year. I think that is close to what he will score (i.e. around 10 points per game higher than this season) and hopefully he scores around that through development. If he goes much higher than that, the Hawks are having a good year, as it means a lot of ball in their forward line! He is a good kick, so should get a few goals and assists, just needs to get a bit more of it.
Happy for anyone else more in the know to add to my previous response. :)

@Ironhawk - thoughts on Josh Ward playing round 1?

Hearing many positive things regarding how he is going at preseason training so far.
I hope he does. Pretty good chance he plays early I would say, and if he can match his junior numbers, he'll be a near must pick. Keeps playing a game out and gets a fair few disposals and tackles.

I haven't read up on training reports from this week yet, but he seems the most ready of a good rookie group from before Christmas.

I’m really considering having heeney and butters at F1 and F2 and spend the money elsewhere. I’m not overly confident with the injury prone premo fwds. Thoughts?
I reckon you should start Dunkley, he has shown he's a bit injury prone but his ceiling is so high that not starting him could really hurt you
