RD1 Fun Fact

294 players graced the footy field to amass a combined total of 12,662 fantasy points or an average of approximately 43 points per player.

43*16+C = 731 (total score based on player's R1 average); 43appp
*appp=average points per player

R1 Leader = 1,140 (67appp)
100th = 1,062 (62appp)
200th = 1,035 (61appp)
500th = 976 (57appp)
1,000th = 892 (52appp)

A score of exactly 731 was ranked 1,544th amongst 1,645 coaches.
1700 entries is a massive effort given late notice of the comp and prize money.

If they open a month before 2022/23 starts in November/December then hopefully the numbers jump a lot next year and it becomes part of everyone’s summer in the same way as BBL, NFL and EPL comps are for a lot of sports and fantasy fans.

If they aren’t already then hopefully very shortly the major men’s fantasy competitions will realise the interest and launch as well.

Hey mate,
I've got Birch, Reid, Prespakis, Rowbottom, Fuller, Cutting, Bohanna, Lister, Low, Kiely and West. To me the main 2 I'm missing are McMahon and Ferguson.
I checked with a fanatical Freo supporting mate with a strong fantasy AFLW footy background on a range of Dockers (including Tighe)

******

“I would say McMahon is a Trent Cooper favourite and will play. She gives the forwards a bit of toughness with O'Sullivan playing more in the middle.

Runnells looks like a winger and could rack up good possessions.

East is a mini Turbo (Bowers) but will take time especially possession numbers.

And still waiting for Franklin who will play in the next week or so too”

*****

In summary based on what we know now that any of those 3 would be fine as your M7, where you are hoping to make cash via a 30-35 plus average and hopefully be unlikely to be needed onfield anytime soon unless via a utility call up. I also think Charlotte Thomas could still be a reasonable alternative capable of 40ppg.

I suspect that with Kiely’s current ownership being 28% and McMahon’s 7.0% either one or zero will be brought into teams but not both as trades will be needed elsewhere. If you pick McMahon she should be a reasonable POD unless everyone trades her in solely off her breakeven.

Hmm, anybody else unable to save their team in the ‘Summary’ tab?

I swap some players around then move to the ‘Trades’ tab but the team reverts back to the way it was.

Means I can’t do the trades I’m wanting to make as I am trying to get Dalton to the bench as my utility and then trade her for a fwd.

I think the site needs to be tweaked and the summary page needs to have a big neon button called SAVE CURRENT TEAM LAYOUT or similar.

Given this season is effectively a live testing environment MM will need whoever finds a confirmed or possible fault to politely point it out ASAP on Twitter or other means.

I even tried logging out to see if this forced changes to be saved and it didn’t.

This seems to read well for O’Sullivan

I am able to slot in O’Sullivan for McCarthy if I go Brazill to Ferguson and Dalton to Dallaway (GWS rookie, couldn’t quite fit in McMahon).

Does anyone know much about Dallaway?

Same issue for me. I just ended up doing trades which didnt need the utility spot….

But it ended up with me still being unable to switch Prespakis onto the field, hopefully they fix that
