Answerth , Bowey , Campbell , Milera in defence maybe Marchbank

Constable in the mids.

Maybe throw Witts in.

Gresham , McGovern , Rayner , W Rioli & Williams up forward.
Thanks @Herbie66.
Of those you have suggested.
Milera is probably in if he shines in pre-season, but I am worried that there may not be enough solid info to be sure of his role.
Campbell - will keep an eye out but will need to hear he’s flying
Constable - under consideration - a la Milera

Just as an observation, much prefer a 4 premium backline to kick off, 3 just seems just a tad fragile particularly with Sicily and Whitfield.
4 with Whitfield at the moment and it feels a lot safer than 3 for sure.

But I'm ready to go 5 with Sicily as the 5th if the rookies don't show up! :p

Plenty of appealing premium and rookie options in the midfield which means he will not need to be considered as a starting selection. Once sufficient form is shown, if Carlton improve their management of him by decreasing their reliance on Cripps and better manage his time on ground long term, then he could once again feature in considerations. But by this stage there will be several value options that pose less risk and therefore he can wait another season.

If he had started 2020 below $550,000 would you be less opposed to selecting him in the future?
What’s the ludicrous never again list?
I think it is quite silly to intentionally decrease the talent pool due to inadequate research on the coach’s behalf, unrealistic expectations, paying a premium for a decreased likelihood of providing a return on investment (based on current or historic form) and unfortunate timing of an injury. It becomes meaningless within a few months after all is forgotten and they continue to go down the same path once again. Emotions need to be put aside as to not cloud future decisions.

Good team, few changes though
Defence: Sicily and Lloyd both great value and great picks, Crisp is good but I feel with guys like Hall, Stewart and Zieball there I feel you can't overlook them especially Hall and Stewart. Marchbank I'd personally not even consider (you have two options here), 1. trade down for a rookie like Josh Sinn and use the cash for another player or try to upgrade to a guy like Coleman or Wayne Milera

Mid: I'm sorry but if I were you I just wouldn't overlook jack macrae, he's the best fantasy player and he's a steal for his price imo, Sam Walsh good pick but if you were to get macrae id upgrade petracca or Walsh to get him. Ben Hobbs just got an injury so I'd recommend going for nick daicos. Also get in Greg Clark he should be playing round 1

Ruck: Grundy good but Marshall I'm not sure about, you can either upgrade him to Sean darcy, downgrade to witts whos a watch in preseason or just hope Marshall can score 100+
Forward: I like the butters pick however I think you should upgrade Tarryn Thomas to a premo like dunkley, Duncan or dusty. I like the Gresham and Cogs picks, also Mayberry upgrade Luke pedlar to Finn maginess since he should play most games.

PS: Downgrade one of ur 117K players to a 102K player (eg: Charlie Parker to free up more cash)
Hope this helps

Not much to dislike their.

11 premiums + Sicily then Cogs , Coleman & Milera.

If the rookies work at F4-6 it is extremely strong.

Think Milera will rotate HB & W , not much on the News yet about the Crows , Seedsman still suffering from concussion effects.

Be interesting if Crouch is right to go from Round 1 and if they continue giving Schoenberg more mid time (last 6-7 games last season they deliberately gave him more CBA , Keays then started wing before playing run with role).

Doubt they move Laird , so Sloane will have to be HF/W starting.

Might end up play DW & AW both sides of the ground , although most clubs look like they have been playing multiple wingers for years now so nothing new their.

As long as you can get 3 startable rookies down back plus 2 on bench, I like this structure, personally I am not convinced it will be possible.

Your 'keeper' selections look good and I agree that the forward line is the place to look for value.

Good team on the proviso you can get 3 startable rookies in defence, well done, not much else to do now except wait to see if the rookies come to allow it :)

Yep, agree Ash - 3 playing rookie backline would be ideal given the value prems in the fwds, not sure it will happen though. The 'good looking' rookies seem to be F/M dpps or expensive mid only.

Rucks - the line that moulds the rest of the team

Swing Jackson forward later in the season

I do like essentially every player/premiums picked in the defence, mids & forwards.

About the best way I can describe your ruck picks would be :-

:p

Certainly would be unique/much risk attached but could work out - Jackson was superb in the finals series last year, just went to another level so I will be watching his preseason games closely. I think in a couple of years he could be one of the best rucks in the game personally, seriously talented kid.

Jackson is in my ruck line, with the same plan, I think he will make cash at a minimum while assessing other options and should be close to forward keeper level. I can use the cash saved towards an extra premium elsewhere, rather than a mid pricer.

Not sure about Preuss at this stage though. 18 games since 2017, 2 100+ scores in those games. Flynn actually has scored better out of the GWS rucks in just one season (3/12 scores 100+, another 3 89+). I know Preuss was sharing the ruck with guns previously which led to his reduced scores, and he has shown promising signs, but the main issue is I just do not trust Leon Cameron. I have no idea what he will do with selections week to week, got burned on a few GWS players last year and trying to minimise that happening again.
