Cats move Prespakis out of the middle and end up losing momentum. Has gone statless this quarter.
Finally got a kick to set up a shot with 15 seconds left.

5/343

Brilliant effort and scores tonight from Webster, Prespakis and Swanson.
Unfortunate early injury to McCarthy.

Swanson 95, Webster 116
Prespakis 70

Cutting 58
McCarthy 4

Lakay would have been a nice inclusion but team selection made me halt that trade.
Scored 55 and probably a Fuller > Lakay trade on the cards next week.

Hi all

In the first few weeks of the season I checked with Moreira’s Magic whether it would be possible to hold an Eliminator Competition this year to add some spice for the top 32/64 competitors in the rankings.

As the focus of the comp is overall in season 1 they won’t be holding an official knockout comp but I am planning to coordinate a 32 team knockout (with mm’s blessing) commencing in Round 6 with the GF in Round 10.

Again, it won’t be official, but it will be well worth the bragging rights as winning 5 straight H2H matches against the best of the best AFLW coaches is a real achievement.

To keep the quality high I will have an entry floor of top 200 in the 2022 season rankings, hopefully with enough publicity and support from the top tier coaches the cut-off becomes top 100 or better.

I hope that the SCS coaches will jump onboard and take on the challenge, and that it may become a part of the official game (along with leagues) for the next instalment.

Cheers.
OK, so an update that I had a soft launch of the comp on Twitter this evening and will be hopeful of opening entries straight after the round 5 lockout ends. Please do your best to raise awareness though your online and offline networks.

RICHMOND will welcome back two important players on Sunday, as other sides are hit by injury and health and safety protocols.

Ellie McKenzie has been named for her first match of 2022 as she has carefully worked her way back from a calf complaint, while ruck recruit Poppy Kelly will play her first game since injuring her knee in round one.

Sophie Molan, Stella Reid and Sarah Dargan have all been omitted, and Megan Kiely will be managed. Forward Christina Bernardi will miss the clash with the Western Bulldogs through injury.

The Dogs have brought back Brooke Lochland for her second game of the year, after health and safety protocols saw her miss the last two matches, and Bailey Hunt returns from soreness that made her a late exclusion on Tuesday.

Gemma Lagioia and Elle Bennetts are both out with injuries, and last-minute debutant Annabel Strahan has been omitted.

Carlton will be without All-Australian ruck Breann Moody for its big clash with Adelaide due to health and safety protocols, while Rising Star nominee Keely Sherar sits out with a broken hand sustained in last week’s match against the Kangaroos.

In better news, the Blues regain Mimi Hill from an ACL injury sustained last year, and Grace Egan from broken ribs and a punctured lung. Gab Pound and Jess Good will also return from the competition’s health and safety protocols.

Experienced winger Lauren Brazzale has been dropped, as has Poppy Schaap after just one game.

The Crows regain a quartet of players - Stevie-Lee Thompson, Justine Mules, Danielle Ponter and Hannah Munyard, who missed last week’s win over Melbourne through health and safety protocols.

Teah Charlton will miss with said protocols, while Chelsea Randall will sit out a second game for 2022 with a hamstring injury.

North Melbourne has made just one change, with Kaitlyn Ashmore set to miss her first ever AFLW match with a tight hamstring. Amy Smith returns in her place.

Meanwhile, Fremantle has made four changes, headlined by the suspended Kiara Bowers. Debutant Amy Franklin will go out of the side with injury, and a concussion sustained in their tight win over the Dogs will see Matilda Sergeant miss. Bianca Webb has been omitted.

Aine Tighe, Dana East, Makaela Tuhakaraina and Kara Antonio all return from being rested.

Adelaide Crows AFLW twitter was asking which players they wanted training photos of.
I asked before two others for Stevie-Lee Thompson and Justine mules but no reply.
The two others got confirmation of Hatchard and Rachele Martin.
They may have ignored me though, with me not being a Crows supporter
Well it looks like they were ignoring the non Crow supporter :sneaky:
