I’m looking at Bowers/JAllen/Kiely to Hatchard/Swanson/Sherar. Unfortunate trade off is that Farquharson is stuck on field for another round….
Who is your current bench forward?

Can you move Kiely to utility and trade in another cheap forward option instead of Sherar?

Unfortunately only have the one mid on bench so can’t manage that.

McCarthy (stk) on the fwd bench.

If I was desperate to move Farquharson off the field, I could trade Schliecher instead of J Allen and see if that can get me someone to patch up the fwd line (maybe Ballard)

SLT was out due to HSP protocols last week and has a Sunday game this week, if that is who you meant are there any alternatives at a similar price?
I think I’ll just back her in to play and will receive my EMG score (Harris) if not.

Ok no Sherar then. Broken hand (2 Weeks)

GENERAL MANAGER of Women's Football Brett Munro provided an update on the Game Changers' injury list heading into Round 5 of the 2022 AFLW season.

Grace Egan (ribs)

Blues fans will be pleased to hear that Grace Egan is back into training after she sustained two broken ribs and a punctured lung in a heavy collision back in the Game Changers’ Round 1 clash with the Pies.

“Grace is going really well – she was introduced back into training this week, did some running drills and did some football drills,” Munro said

The injury saw Egan’s run of consecutive games since her debut come to an end, but the young midfielder is on track for a return in the next fortnight.

“She’ll do a bit more throughout the week and we’re hopeful that in the next one to two weeks she’ll be up in line for assessment for selection.”

Gab Pound, Jess Good and Imogen Milford (AFL Health and Safety Protocols)

After being ruled out of the previous two games via the AFL Health and Safety Protocols, Gab Pound, Jess Good and Imogen Milford will all be available for the Blues’ clash with the Crows.

“They’re back into training and they’ll all be up for selection this week.”

Keeley Sherar (hand)

Keeley Sherar put together a performance worthy of a NAB AFLW Rising Star nomination in Round 4 – an effort made all the more impressive by the fact that she did it with a broken hand.

“We found out at half time that she’d copped a knock to that hand in the first quarter and it was really brave of her to continue on.”

Sherar underwent surgery this week and if all tracks well, will be back available for selection in two weeks time.

Mimi Hill (ACL)

In more positive news, young Blue Mimi Hill is tracking well in her rehabilitation from an ACL injury which cut her debut season short back in March 2021.

“She’s had an outstanding rehab, her work rate and her application to that has been fantastic.

“She’s been in our program, full training for the last three weeks and depending on this week, she’ll be up for selection – VFLW and AFLW both play this week so we’re hoping to see Mimi Hill running around in the Navy Blue.”

WEST Coast has made four forced changes ahead of its Friday night match against Geelong as it returns from an interrupted run.

Evie Gooch will miss through suspension, while Amber Ward, Kellie Gibson and Courtney Rowley are out due to health and safety protocols.

The Eagles missed two scheduled matches over the last week as they didn't have enough players available to field a team.

Captain Emma Swanson returns from a week on the sidelines due to suspension, and the quick Niamh Kelly makes her way back from groin soreness which saw her miss the Eagles' round three match against Adelaide.

Ashlee Atkins and Tayla Bresland will also make their return to the side.

Geelong has made just the one change, bringing Nina Morrison into the side after she missed last week with a calf complaint. Madisen Maguire has been omitted to make way.

939, 280th (weekly) and 198th (overall) now, and 61 points behind 150th place

Parker and Kearns sideways to Swanson and Sherar would allow me to upgrade Eddey to E Jones.
Pivoting for both the Bowers suspension and GWS, St Kilda byes has led me to the following trades (pending Saturday team news for my GCS and Melb players)

Bowers ==> Hatchard/Riddell to be my team's Rd5 and Rd6 skipper
Strom ===> Cutting (StK)
Magee ===> Barr (GWS)

Next week will need to free up cash through some rookie downgrades.

Tarni White is great value at 77 average GUARANTEED for $51k, as a downgrade for Bowers she frees up a lot of $$$ elsewhere provided you have one of Bonnici, Riddell, Hatchard or Marinoff in the team already and can be handed the skipper's duties.

I would love to hear how our current SCS podium view this week's fantasy news and your approaches to continuing to rise up the overall ranks !
Things may change post tomorrow's team announcements but right now I'm sitting on the following trades and team for R5.
Risky not having an out and out Captain as I've opted for a more balanced on-field starting XVI.
