Was seen to be playing a wing role in the practice matches so must have fallen off him myself included. If he does get that starting mid role I'll be straight back on
I just dont see him as a starting mid for them and he cant score playing anywhere else, is a huge pass from me.

North Melb.
I was kinda hoping Dawson may fly under the Radar a little
He still probably will, given it's Adelaide.

Seriously though, away from the Swans list where he sat behind Mills/Parker/JPK as mids and behind Lloyd as a def, and lined up at Adelaide, he'd be their most complete player, bar Rory Laird. They'd see it pretty quickly too you'd imagine, so be mad not to put him in the guts rights?

Can't see him getting good inside mid minutes but he could score very decently on a wing but definitely needs to show it strongly in the preseason at his price.

It does create a lot of unknown on him. He's never played an inside role and while I think he'll be fine I just don't know it for sure.

To be fair, on a wing in a weaker side I'm not as sold on him either and the inside mid role has a lot more upside.

Will be watching really closely in preseason, if he works inside how I think he will he becomes pretty much a must pick because the upside of that role is too high but I still haven't actually had him make a draft.

Still, Adelaide fans should be giddy on that one, absolutely fleeced us in the trade, even if he regressed 15% on what he was last year they got one of the best value trades that's been made. If he keeps up last year's level or improves it will end up one of the most one-sided trades ever. Sydney really messed it up and Adelaide made sure they twisted the knife hard, was brilliant business by them.

Has been in my side since SC opened after hearing he returned early and was getting the K's into the legs with a few of the younger guys, will play Round 1 as long as he is fit for mine, has the build over most rookie options and is massively rated internally, got a 2 year extension in the rehab group after all.

Will be interesting to see where Tsitas fits at GC, dont tend to pick up 26 year olds to play reserves footy, huge numbers in the SANFL and VFL.
Last I read was that they were g0ing to go for experience ...

I'm not yet convinced on this notion that mature aged players are being picked to actually play more than a handfull of games or make an immediate impact ... some seem to think they are walk up starters ...

- to me they are there for depth cover and if good enough or the "opportunity" presents will get some games ...
- Of course some might buck the trend and do a Kelly etc ...

Gold Coast are a basketcase that just let one of their main senior players walk out the door, they need all the help they can get.

GC absolutely would to something like that tbf. Changes in topup rules for VFL sides should mean they don't need to get mature types onto the list just to add some experience to their reserves though.
