How would people compare the price range type JS & scoring potential of example Hinge , Reid , Gibcus , NWM v D Stephens , Eramus & Hobbs ?

Playing around with Milera at D4 , Whitfield M4 & Kiddy F4 (Cogs F5 , Curnow F6) , allows the flexibility of looking at a 5 onfield starting rookie side depending on where the rookies fall when teams are announced.

Whitfield can swing back to defence easily enough (same as Kiddy if we look like getting a viable rookie at F6)

Still like Berry , JHF , Daicos & Ward at M5-8.

Macrae , Titch , Neale will be M1-3.

Want to start all 6 of Lloyd , Short , Sicily in defence & Dunkley , Duncan , Heeney forward.

Deliberately ignoring the $ 125,000.00 or less D & M rookies at this stage.

Cheers

@Connoisseur - thoughts on Sinn debuting early?

Just came across this :-

Screen Shot 2022-02-15 at 5.34.36 pm.png

Saw a goal he kicked the other day at training which was impressive :-

We know Hinkley has no issue playing the kids round 1 ( remember a few years ago Connor Rozee, Xavier Duursma, Zak Butters and Willem Drew all played round 1)

Awkward price range ... Sinn, Chesser, Hobbs and Erasmus ...

- think I can only take two of them ...

Assuming the pre season reports are true I can't remember so many quality rookies, and just above rookie price returning players, since the expansion years.
And we know the first wave are often the best. What does the second wave look like?
What about loading up on cash cows and banking some money to start the year?

Been playing mostly wing with stints in the midfield this preseason. I would think there's more likelihood of a spot available there as compared to in defence, any thoughts from those who know Port's squad a bit better than me?

I said previously he looked like the best defender rookie this year if he could get games, standing by that comment. Might need to try and squeeze him in.

Would have thought Amon & Duursma would play wing , unless they are moving Amon more into the CBA though.

Kenny doesn't often like moving away from Boak , Drew , Wines and then Gray though.

Butters , Rozee , SPP all getting more mid time as well , certainly won't be room for them all.

Yep seems a bit unusual, although most are in the midfield (still need confirmation on a select few key non-mid ones like NOD in DEF or Maginess up FWD).

More rookie options means a more GNR season, which I traditionally struggle with haha. Rowell and Heeney will start for me!

My thinking is you would be a premium behind others for the first 5 or 6 weeks, although the usual gap between premium and rookie would be less than normal, but a premium ahead of others for the last 9 or 10 weeks with the extra money you would have generated by carrying an extra cash cow.

I have been unable to attend training or matches (usually limited to one per season) and take no interest whatsoever in attempting to sift through notes, etc from track watchers so unfortunately I have nothing to add to what you and @Ironhawk have already listed.

Questions like these would be better directed to the likes of @BigRuss.

The thing lingering in my mind is that we (PTA) went up the draft to get him ... we all know what happened the last time they did that ..

- Not in my side yet but on PS watch ... love a mullet in my side too :)

I'll be happily surprised if 2 of them play rd1
Yeah ...

Got either Erasmus or Hobbs penciled in for a bench spot ... but Ward as my (E)
- If neither line up will move on ...

Don't have Sinn in my side as yet but do have Chesser in for now with Kemp as a potential backup if need be ... the problem with this is the early call needs to be made ...
- But if Dean plays then that could somewhat alleviate the choice ...

At least with Hinkley we'll get a good early call if he's in or out, no mid round surprises like some other coaches.
