I have come full circle back to where I started from, if it was any more vanilla I would use it to bake a cake.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you for taking a look

You're very confident in the rookies all getting games early. This set up will obviously work well if they do. I think you may need to spend some of your war chest upgrading those 102k rookies to others more inclined to play plus you still have the funds to spend if you need to downgrade Preuss to Hayes come Rd 1. Plenty of cash, but you just need to stick fat points wise over that initial period.

Fingers crossed for you the rooks show up. I'm commenting on your prems as that's really personal preference.

No O ‘Driscoll for the bench.
Yeah I think he's going to find it hard to get a spot round 1. He's certainly in the mix after a big pre-season, but I'd expect him and Erasmus to be asked to find form in the WAFL first before getting a call up more likely than not.

Again picking the side is a hard task, probably going to be 6-8 guys unlucky to miss out and Peel are going to be a force if the list stays healthy.

Fyfe, Mundy, Darcy, Ryan and Walters all set to play this week after missing last weeks 90 point drubbing. Might be a weekend to tune out eagles fans :p

Another update lol, switching forwards to mids, with view to switch back forward. Not comfortable with the mid rookies also being overpriced.

Convince me on Ladhams Professor (not even # 1 ruck , so why take the risk ? ) , can score very well though as the solo ruck , so maybe you have some inside info

Surely JHF scores similar/better than Brodie & Williams.

Ash could be interesting.

Obviously rookies are unknowns at this stage.

I thought you were on a winner last season with your 6-8 $ 200-300k starting players.

5 Collingwood players though 🤗 , the membership form is in the mail 😀

Yes, basically what Shannon said.

I count 11 players in your team that are unlikely for round 1. Just switch them for the more likely rookies which will cost more but is realistic. It will result in you losing one of your premium picks.

I'm hoping you've got inside knowledge in regards to these base priced rookies as I could use a few in my team - but in summary, great premiums but unless you know something we don't you'll have no cash generation which is a big problem in this game.

It's very interesting to see how a team can evolve so much from the 1st version to where we are now close to the season starting. This was my first draft page 1 in December and tbh it's really not far from where I am now especially in terms of structure. Swap a few rookies and injured players and it's very close.

I think this is my favourite version so far!
Contemplating taking Hewett down to the rookie (McCartin maybe?) and spreading the cash around a few rookie increases (and maybe Sidey to Dunkley). If the cheaper rookies don't stand up my hand might be forced but reckon I'll sit on this until after this weekend's games.

Any thoughts/opinions much appreciated though!

Edit: 28k left ITB.

I like it and think that's the structure that will be common where people are looking to play Berry and a mid-price like Hewett/Rowell. I've currently got Rowell so structure is pretty close. I'll need a couple of rookies available in defence to get my current team over the line. I also like the Rich and Stewart picks as they haven't featured in many team but both capable scorers.

No Dunkley would be the glaring hole for me, Sidey - not for me but there are worse options.

A few rookies on the bench I've not looked at so hopefully they work out.

Yep agreed, I think the key decisions will be whether you "break" a premium into 2 mid pricers or roll the dice on the rookies. Ultimately comes down to the strength (and position) of the rookie players but at this stage the depth genuinely doesn't feel like it's there.

Dunkley is definitely the stand out omission.. not sure I love picking him but it's bold to swim against that current. Could ultimately be what moves me to downgrade Hewett so I can spread that cash around a little more favourably.

ITB $161.2k

Not quite sold on the backline, i don't think we will get 5 defense rookies lining up to debut in round 1
I can upgrade a rookie to a mid pricer like Kiddy Coleman, but i just don't see the love for him and can't justify starting him

I'm locked into starting Dunks, Heeney, Butters & Cogs in the fwd line so cant sacrifice much there
I feel like starting any less than 4 Prem mids is sacrificing too many points but would make sense to fix my backline woes, or just move Berry to a rookie and get a Sicily type at D4 but i am very keen to start Berry and believe he can get back to his 2020 form

Thoughts?
