1132,, 277th (weekly) and 251st (overall, up 3)

Now 86 points behind 200th, top 150 now too far away to target

Will look to upgrade/downgrade a few midpricers over Rounds 8 and 9
1026, 320th (weekly) and 244th (overall, up 7) and 77 points behind the top 200, hopefully achievable by two decent weeks to finish the season.

Morrison (injured) up to GOS via downgrades of Prespakis and Snell to Mowbray and Moloney.

Sherar slides into M5.

With @THCLT having spoiled us so far I will continue some basics from Round 8

Par 10 8865 (1082)
Par 50 8642 (1037)
Par 100 8487 (1043)
Par 200 8250 (1017)
Par 500 7661 (917)

For 2022/23 I suggest we track top 10, 50, 100, 200 and 300 as even if there is growth in comp numbers in season 2 the variance down to #500 (ie 100 points from the #200 position) is so low as to be barely useful in comparing weeks.

Highest ranks (season) - apologies to anyone I missed out
Lucky7 #1
Under the Dome #29
Barking Gheckos #44
Flying Horses #51
Gaelic Cats #107

In pre-season I suggested having a playoff involving the top 3 SCS teams overall as at round 8, the format being

Round 9 - Under the Dome vs Barking Gheckos
Round 10 - Lucky7 vs the winner of the Round 9 matchup

it could be varied by having the top 4 involved or we could hold it between Under the Dome, Barking Gheckos and Flying Horses instead if we exempt Lucky 7 by virtue of their side being involved in another eliminator comp - the @aflwfantasy Knockout challenge, which has reached the semi final stage

Maybe if the coaches involved decide the format they want we can get them to post their Round 9 teams after lockout and they can follow their "SCS Champions League" Semi Final matchup live through the weekend.

Let me know if there is interest in a Round 10 State of Origin Clash between the best 16 Victorian AFLW players and the best 16 from the Others/Allies??

Based on everyone's State of Entry for @aflwfantasy the proposed selection panels would be

Vics - @Pressure point @THCLT @BreakfortheBorder @bomberboy @Tamuhawk @Burly @Ben's Beasts @Bomber18 @Connoisseur @Stephen247 @The Banker @Stephen247

Allies - @Lucky7 @BarkingGhecko @Under The Dome @KLo30 @couchPOTATO @Pearcey47 @Vicwood @bunlit

If I have missed anyone or put them in the wrong camp then please let me know

the idea is to shortlist the best 25 or so in the next 2-3 days then to name a final side (plus 4 emergencies) prior to Round 10 lockout with all 7 AFLW Round 10 matches counting towards the scores for the 16 onfield in 5-5-5-1 AFLW format.

Defenders by season average (as at Round 8)

Vics - Webster, Harrington, Lampard, Birch, Ferres, Dempsey, E Brown, Whitfort, J Hosking, McMahon, Emonson, Sherriff
Allies - Swanson, Schliecher, C Svarc, Pound, Grider, Hampson, Barr, Gilroy, Stannett

Midfielders by season average

Vics - Riddell, Conti, Garner, Lambert, Bonnici, TLR, Blackburn, Lamb, Eva, A McDonald, Davey, M Prepsakis, Drennan
Allies - Bowers, Hatchard, Marinoff, Miller, Bates, Parker, E Phillips, Stanton, White, Hooker, Priest

Forwards by season average

Vics - Hanks, Hore, Toogood, Bohanna, K Lynch, Butler, Molloy, Wakefield, Lavey, Eddey
Allies - GOS, Bodey, E Antonio, E Jones, SLT, Brennan, Houghton, Harris, Belinda Smith, Lewis, Ponter

Rucks by season average

Vics - Seymour, B Moody, L Pearce, C Moody, Zanker
Allies - Hickie, Emma King, B Brown, Gould, Strom

It may help if there are any volunteers to form selection panels for VIC and the Allies to decide the "definites" and "possibles" for each line including the emergency spot and then get feedback from each camp (as listed above)

If it has enough support to go ahead I expect their to be 2 absolutely ripping lineups and provide a fun way to finish the AFLW Fantasy season.

SATURDAY TEAMS: Young Docker to debut in crucial clash, big boost for Tigers

RICHMOND'S forward line will receive a much-needed boost for its clash against Greater Western Sydney on Saturday, with spearhead Courtney Wakefield returning from a shoulder injury.

Wakefield is one of four changes for the Tigers, with injured duo Tayla Stahl and Kodi Jacques to miss while Meg Macdonald and Stella Reid have been omitted.

The Giants have made four unforced changes after their loss to Carlton, with Rebecca Privitelli and Chloe Dalton returning while Katherine Smith has been omitted.

Fremantle has turned to untried ruck/forward Sarah Wielstra for its must-win match against Melbourne, while West Coast will also have a fresh face in the line-up with young defender Beth Schilling to debut.

The Dockers have also lost two players to health and safety protocols, with important forward Gabby O'Sullivan and the versatile Amy Franklin each to miss the battle of second and third, compounding the loss during the week of Mikayla Morrison (knee) and continued absence of Kiara Bowers (knee).

Matilda Sergeant, Bianca Webb and Wielstra are the Dockers' inclusions against the settled Demons, who made two unforced changes after their round eight win against North Melbourne.

Gabrielle Colvin has been recalled alongside rising star nominee Megan Fitzsimon, while Jacqueline Parry and Tahlia Gillard have been dropped.

St Kilda has made two changes for Saturday's clash against Geelong after losing Rhiannon Watt for the season due to an ACL injury. Lucy Burke has been dropped, with Leah Cutting and Jayde Van Dyk recalled.

The Cats, who made two changes, have lost Olivia Barber after she suffered a head knock in the Cats' win against Richmond.

West Coast has responded to a record 74-point thrashing to Brisbane by making four changes for Saturday's clash against the Western Bulldogs, with debutant Beth Schilling selected and Kellie Gibson among the omissions.

The Bulldogs have made three changes themselves after a 25-point loss to Collingwood, losing Ellyse Gamble to suspension and Elizabeth Snell to illness.

ERIN Phillips will return for Adelaide as one of a number of big changes made ahead of Sunday's AFLW games.

Phillips has been named for Adelaide's match against Collingwood at Norwood Oval after missing last week's win over Fremantle with a knee concern.

Brooke Tonon will also line up for her second AFLW match, while Eloise Jones and Hannah Munyard will both miss through injury.

Ebony Marinoff has also been named for her 50th AFLW appearance.

Collingwood has made two forced changes after Britt Bonnici's ACL rupture was confirmed earlier this week and Aliesha Newman suffered a concussion. Erica Fowler and Ebony O'Dea will take their places in the side as they travel to Adelaide.

Orla O'Dwyer will not join Brisbane in Melbourne as she is managed through a shoulder injury she picked up in the side's big win last Sunday, with Maria Moloney taking her place.

The Lions have also named both Emily Bates and Ally Anderson for their 50th AFLW games, rounding out the trio to reach the milestone tomorrow.

The Kangaroos will be without Emma King who is injured, while Amy Smith and Alice O'Loughlin have both been omitted.

Daisy Bateman has regained her place in the side, as have Grace Campbell and Alexia Hamilton for their important clash with the Lions.

Brooke Walker has been recalled by Carlton to replace an injured Lucy McEvoy, as opponents Gold Coast has named Janet Baird for the first time this year.

Tori Groves-Little will miss for the Suns through concussion protocols, the third match the forward will miss due to concussion this year, as Lucy Single and Shannon Danckert are both omitted.

It was a low finishing Sunday for me.

Finished on 1068 (Hatchard)

It was nice to get up to 29th with two rounds to go.

Hopefully a few takeaways for next season. A few trades I would like to take back :p Schleicher, Molloy, Lewis and Harris.

Hopefully no averages and H&S next year!

Goodluck to Lucky7 in the remaining round and also to Pearcy47 leading AFLW tipping by 1.
