Just looking over any other rookie options & came across Jed McEntee :-

$123,900 fwd/mid - Had a mid/fwd role v Adelaide and had 13 touches with 7 contested. Kicked 1.1 and had 2 clearances.

Scored 58 SC from 80% TOG.

Apparently Tom Rockcliff yesterday said he plays round 1 ...
He looks solid, would be playing in Fantasia's spot who is out for a while. Still, it's small forward (at least in a decent side) so it's not ideal and I think the JS is going to be somewhere in the bad to terrible range.

Looking at Port's best 22:

B: DBJ Clurey* Jonas
HB: Burton Aliir Bonner
C: Amon Wines Houston
HF: Boak Marshall Rozee
F: Gray Dixon# Finlayson
R: Lycett Butters Drew
Int from:

Georgiades - Think he's in regardless but probably for Dixon for now.
Duursma - I'm not sure he's safe but expect he's there, Sinn's pathway is through him primarily.
L. Jones - Think he's in right now, was very good in the preseason.
Motlop - Option 1 for this spot.
SPP - Option 2 for this spot.
McEntee - Option 3 for this spot.
Sinn - Option 4, but think he has to push out Jones/Duursma personally.
Mead - Option 5.
Frederick - Option 6, again with Jones in this case I think more than for this spot.
Bergman - Option 7, not sure where he's at, probably Duursma/Jones again.
D. Williams - Option 8, seems behind the others though.
Mayes/Dumont - Think they're the break in case of emergency guys, but also options and Mayes was used preseason in that role also.

#Dixon is injured, so I'd expect Georgiades starts and we move to two bench spots available.
*Clurey is in a battle with McKenzie and Skinner that he's leading.

So basically I think there are ~2 openings (assuming Gray is right for round 1, otherwise that's a really strong fool's gold third opening) and, personally, I'd think Motlop and SPP should be ahead for them if fit, maybe a 3rd if Jones is at threat.

Basically I think Mead is right on the edge of the side but given that and a poor role, I'm hoping I'm not considering him for my side

Bombers supporters - I have watched Nick Martin’s 2nd half 3 times now, he was so impressive/ found so much of the ball/ great wing & high half fwd role. Surely he is a realistic round 1 chance?

Need a cheap F8 & he is by far the most attractive option for mine.
Yep, that’s how I read it - either Cox or Martin, Martin is in far better form/ offers more than Cox currently.
A 102k fwd rookie playing on a wing 🤞🔥
I struggle to see how Martin is there or is any better than the 22nd man if he is.

B: Kelly Stewart Laverde
HB: Hind Ridley McGrath
C: Heppell Merrett Langford
HF: Snelling Stringer# Perkins
F: Wright Jones* Smith*
R: Draper Parish Shiel#

Int: Caldwell Redman

Then you've got Cox, who I'd be very surprised if not playing as he's far more versatile than the others, Cutler, Ham and Martin fighting for the final 2 spots, assuming they don't go a tall. Cutler I would also have ahead of Martin.

Jones I think is at threat but that would be to Francis and Baldwin.
Smith is at threat when Walla is ready and perhaps also to Francis/Baldwin if they want to go really tall.
Stringer starts in CB but Shiel/Caldwell will do the work.

He's an outside chance and he's shown some incredible ability to find the ball but the JS is not going to be good, on a positive he's good enough to change that from what I've seen.

Would be nice if he's there and looks solid though but I'm personally seeing about 21 spots that I'd be pretty surprised if they went Martin instead.
Would love to see him play, not just from a fantasy perspective but as an Essendon supporter. I've said it before - I can't believe he slipped through the draft. Another great pickup by Disco.

In terms of a spot in the team, I reckon he's fighting with Smith more than Cox. Tough call. Given how he was used in the Saints game, I suspect he's ripe to be the sub.
I would have it Cox and Martin but no Francis
I think Cox will get a bit of a grace period and be in the 22 for the first few rounds to find form, he is considered a big part of out future.

I think Martin will need one of Smith or Guelfi to be dropped to get in Rd 1.

He may get a gig as the sub Rd 1, but my gut thinks he will have to wait a couple of weeks before his debut.

Brisbane Lions supporters...if Darcy Wilmot wasn't suspended for round 1, would he have been in the side? Any chance he will play from round 2 on-wards? Or wishful thinking?

INDEX & MATCH is a better option to lookup/vlookup.
Sorry can’t let this slide (with respect).

Disagree. VLOOKUP & HLOOKUP are much better than INDEX/MATCH in my opinion. Agree on LOOKUP though which is not very useful.

However for those fans of INDEX/MATCH I would suggest you have a look at XLOOKUP which is relatively new. It is basically an easier way to do INDEX/MATCH.

Stephens or ward??? I can't afford them both on my bench.
This will be an unpopular opinion, but I'd personally cull JHF before Stephens or Ward. Has a worse roll in a rebuilding team and is higher priced. There's a solid argument that Ward could also end up with with a bad role, but it will only take one injury and he should slot straight into the midfield.
