The one i'm worried about the least right now. Hinge's shoulder being attached to his torso by duct tape is more worrisome right now. Starting to think that a mid pricer in Chapman could be an option for D5, has the scope to score 80 ppg which would be good enough for his price.
I was looking at Chapman, but is he a certain best 22?

So Ridley was the answer, that's a minor structural change I might need to pull it off

He is best 22. Nothing more certain
I don't think it's that certain, be pretty shocked if he's ahead of Logue, Young, Ryan and Clark. Depending whether Logue/Ryan are played as KPD or not, you can add at least one more. So at best he's 6th picked in a very undersized defense or 7th picked in a more normal sized defense (2 of Pearce, Cox and Hamling). Then you've got Wilson back in a couple of weeks who is a genuine threat.

FWIW I think he's best 22 but he's pretty much last picked down back. There's also his durability issues that could cancel that out very quickly.

Not sold on him being capable of the 85+ scoring either, that's a big ask and really you're wanting closer to 90. I can't see the quantity needed ahead of Ryan, Young and Clark to get there this year. Happy to be proven wrong though :) (I did nab in a keeper league)

Quality player who could very well be a keeper in a few years but we're talking a very skinny 20 year old that's played 6 games of which 4 he scored 54 or lower, who has had injury issues and is on the edge of the 22 as a best case analysis. I'm just not sure he's a lot safer than the rookies as far as cash generation/job security.

Who are the rookies?
SDK, McCartin............
Is Gibcus safe?
Hinge bad shoulder.
Sinn unlikely.
Why did Kemp miss the community game?

I agree, I don’t think he’s ahead of any of the guys you mentioned, but I do think he is certain to be best 22. I personally don’t see Wilson as a threat, he was on the outer at the end of last year and that’s where I see him remaining.

Can you say a bloke that has been injured once has durability issues? Feels a little extreme. 91 and 86 were his two scores above 54, one of those scores below 54 was obviously impacted by injury very early on.

I certainly wouldn’t consider him skinny by any stretch, but I admit, It is certainly a subjective criteria.

I might’ve missed the post, but Not sure anyone is expecting him to score at 85+? I just see him as someone who has good job security that is an alternative store of salary cap in place of a very limited selection of defence rookies.

But I am an admittedly biased freo fan!

Hall back at training doing full match sim so very confident he will be named. Currently in 2% of teams - great POD and based on his role, could well be the top defender for the year. Let’s hope not too many pick him up before Rd 1.
Pre season soft tissue injury is always a pass as a starter, if he stays out there hell pay off but not for me with much safer options having had full pre seasons.

85 is what his price spike period needs to be at a minimum to make the 150k target and he needs to not tank it with a bad score as well.

I can buy accepting less down back given the dearth of options but I'm not sure that Chapman offers the security you'd really want to be targeting that. I think you're probably better paying extra for Rioli, Hewett or even Sicily if 100k is your target range of acceptable cash cow and make the sacrifices elsewhere.

I rate him a lot as a player, just not sold he can get the role and scoring needed at his price to really justify him over a guy like Gibcus who looks set to have the same basic role, similarly ranked and similarly sketchy for staying best 22 if he underperforms. The 65-70 requirement for Gibcus seems a much softer target.

Sinn - Port play Saturday, KH will let us know early
Kemp - Carlton play Thursday
