Whether you accept my entry is your call. That is the responsibility you implicitly accept when you run comps.

I run plenty of comps and will always accept entries in this circumstances if I believe they are genuine and not attempting to gain an unfair advantage. I told you I didn’t know the results, I didn’t look at the thread, I had know knowledge of the Price situation until I did looked at the thread much later in the morning. I concede me stating this doesn’t make it true so it comes down to whether you accept my word or whether you believe it is irrelevant.

My selections are consistent with the approach I have taken in the last 2 rounds where I have taken one side of the draw in its entirety. We are not playing for anything significant it is just supposed to be a bit of fun. I would not likely accept any prizes anyway if I were successful.

I doubt anybody would have a big problem if you accepted them but given you have chosen to make it public then people can offer their opinion if they have a strong view.

The defence rests.

My 2 cents, I made a comment earlier in the morning. If someone misses cutoff, no score, if someone withdraws, tough luck. Now my disclaimer is I haven't read the rules and assume that's what they are. If I'm wrong, I'll retract and apologise.

It is unfortunate, but them the breaks, where most were affected, some more than others. If there's other events that have taken place, I've missed it.

Personally I'd like to see people's scores as per current rules.

I’ve made it public because it puts me in a difficult position. I agree that it’s consistent with how you have been placing an entry for the past 2 weeks with a half of the draw in mind. I do however feel some accountability needs to be taken here. You are somebody that has always made public their entry. Now I concede if you wanted to stay away from the thread that it makes sense to PM it to me. However simply making it known to the group with an explanation is probably the right way to go about it, even if that’s done after a PM is made and some knowledge of results has been gained from the thread.

I’m coming across as a hard ar$e here, but having not been accepting of Jay Seas entry change after the event is in progress, I think placing an entry at the time you have is simply unacceptable.

I’m going to sleep on both this scenario and the Price scenario and make a decision tomorrow. Haven’t really had my head in the game today. I’ve made a few posts, but need to think about what each decision represents in the future of this competition.

I think I favour these sentiments.

I deliberately entered my selections early for this week as I knew this was a busy week for me, no need to wait until the last day to enter. Been caught out in multiple competitions previously forgetting to enter, so I often make picks early now. It's rare in a lot of competitions to allow entries once games have started, but I also trust people here to be honest about it if they know results etc. Up to you what you decide to do about entries past the deadline, but I would argue everyone had plenty of time to enter and the deadline was known in advance to all.

My thoughts are that if a player withdraws, that's just bad luck for anyone with them who misses this news due to time zones / other commitments etc. I'd hate to say how many times it's happened in other comps (NBA especially). I suggest the score for these players should be a flat 0 for anyone who picked them rather than any negative score they may end up with through set loss etc though.

I trust you'll make the best decision for the comp in any case, just my general thoughts on things - not trying to influence your decision. I'm well out of the running for any prizes and I'm just playing for fun after all.

I may have put you in a difficult position but I think you made it harder by posting it publicly. I thought I did the only reasonable thing I could have done when I realised I had forgotten first thing this morning and posting publicly would have only put you in a more difficult position. Anyway you are free to deal with in the way you feel appropriate and we can rationally agree to disagree on that.

Just so it doesn't sound like sour grapes tomorrow I am going to make things much easier for you and just bow out now. I was considering doing it anyway however I wanted to continue to support the comp and your concept given I signed up. However having played a bit now it really isn't for me and there is still an awful long way to go. I signed up because I quite like watching the darts and thought it would be fun to have something at stake while I was however the reality is that the vast majority of it isn't played at a time when I can't watch. I don't follow it that closely and am just guessing when making selections.

Sincerely thanks for your efforts and I hope the remaining participants continue to enjoy it.

There’s no hard feelings on my end. And I thank you for giving it a crack. I hope all goes well during the football season for the competitions you are running behind the scenes.

I felt it needed to be brought out into the public from my end though, because it’s breaking the rules of entry, and if I don’t bring it to attention then you will question why I haven’t given you a score.
Ultimately that’s where an entry after 0600 was always headed.

I’m going to address all of the issues of today in the next post.

This is where I am at and how todays matches will be scored.

The Price withdrawal.
I believe the only person that deserves reward in this scenario is Rowsus. It’s come about due to the time zone, but I can’t turn it away as it is completely within the rules to manipulate an entry prior to the 0600 lockout.
Further on the Price withdrawal.
The score is in the books as 6-0 so that is how it must be graded. Cullen 5 points (bonus included) and Price -3.

Change/ Initial entry
Jay Sea’s change of entry has occurred mid-match between Smith and Anderson. Therefore the initial entry must be accepted and the manipulated entry is void.

B2D entry has occurred after the conclusion of the final. Therefore the entry is not accepted.

I think that follows all the rules. Some win, some lose, and some sit in the middle.

Also I don't believe my entry was posted, as sent via pm. You will obviously provide an update when your ready. Understand you've had a bit on your plate and thought it unusual you hadn't posted earlier.
