1) Howe is not a "lockdown KPD" and never really has been, too short for the role and does the third tall defender / intercept marker thing too well. Madgen (vomit) is the "lockdown" defender they'd go with if it isn't Kelly.
2) Kreuger is staying up forward, the club is excited about his attack on the ball and his ability to roam up towards the wing as a hit-up target coming off half back.
3) Err, did Moore disappear somewhere during the past couple of weeks.
Overall if Kelly is named all you're looking for is a 3-6 week cameo, and if he falls short of that initially then he's still useful as a DPP pivot with Kreuger if required. Doesn't look like he will be now though if the reports are correct.
Howe is not a "lockdown KPD", but he 100% has played that role in periods across recent seasons.
I still vividly remember him playing against Darling vs West Coast in 2017/2018 and would just get dominated in that lockdown role over and over again. Might be a Buckley thing, but Howe has also played against the likes of J Roo and other smaller KPFs in a shutdown role, which is why you often see a huge volatility in his scoring.
Madgen, well I don't know what he is. He shouldn't be playing AFL, probably shouldn't even be playing VFL.
3) - not sure what you mean, the previous discussions were based on Moore being the #1 KPD, when Roughead returns, Howe and potentially Kelly will play in that 3rd tall role.
