Thanks Creeker, it sounds interesting - I’ll check it out.

In terms of it changing your views on players, could you give us a flavor? Was it those you saw feature in the doco, or something different?
Hey mate, I was one of the minority here that wasn't convinced with JHF. After watching North go through their discussions concerning who they would choose with the number 1 pick, I'm now on the JHF train.
The North hierarchy were saying how he was the complete package and a once in a generation player. Then Noble goes to visit his family before the draft to announce they were going to take him at number 1, JHF is thrilled and asks Noble where he wants him to play. Noble reply's was, mate, you can play any position you want.
Another interesting angle was Luke Dunstan talking with his manager, going through all the club options. The manager happens to mention, you can forget about Melbourne, they already have too many inside mids. It was interesting that it was Melbourne who showed the most interest in him, and gave an impressive presentation with Goodwin saying he could play midfielders all over the ground. (not that I would start Dunstan in my squad.)
I enjoyed the doco, was worth a watch.

The Dunstan stuff was interesting, both the machinations and his chats with the teams. The off-hand comment about how he'd gotten his running up to average in the last year or two wasn't really a good look for him though given he'd been in the AFL for however long.

Very interesting, thank you!

I saw a comment recently that Dunstan hadn’t feature since the pre season games and was surprised. Last year I saw comments that Goodwin and team may have got him on large part to keep their mids hungry (via the selection pressure he would exert), so that’s a bit of a surprise. Maybe he has a niggle or something.

Is anyone else having trouble logging into SuperCoach on work computers??

On both Microsoft Edge & Google Chrome, it doesn't ever let me get past the home page, each time I press login the page just refreshes & goes back to the SuperCoach home page. I've contacted the HSun but they didn't have any solutions that worked

The website isn't blocked by work or it wouldn't load up the page at all

If you were a paranoid person who is quick to believe in conspiracy theories, you might be inclined to think
that some of your work mates/friends or family you are in a supercoach league with have hired some just-out-of-uni-supernerd-hacker-kid
to block you from trading in crucial playing rookies.

 Sorry I couldn't be of any real help..

Hi all,

I know there are some comments (nothing untoward or overly over the top) that the website is slow but note I cannot do anything about it.

I host the website as a hobby and I have zero experience in programming or website management (everything is self-taught via Google).

Remember this website is FREE and is not run by sponsors or anything.

If I start messing with the website it will crash and I know that I'll be one fixing it and I don't think anyone else will have time to fix the website.

I don't have the time or knowledge to fix it either.

However, I have lodge a E-Ticket to the webhosting company to see what is going on (per below).

I'll highlight there was a time that I stopped going onto my own SCS website due to the ongoing background maintenance and it makes my enjoyment of playing SuperCoach move from 100% to 20%.

Thanks Jay for reaching out to get it sorted, I think we sometimes take things for granted not realising what might be happening in the background. Understand it's out of your control. I'd like to donate a further $50 to assist with the ongoing maintenance. Can you DM me when ready.

Thanks Buddy and appreciate but it's all good.

My intention for the website was just to breakeven which has helped with SCS Cash Leagues and SCS Cash Group and it was never to make money; now if I happen to make money then even better but it's not my priority.

But the only thing that will deter me from SCS or SuperCoach is spending too much time maintaining the website.

I will always do things to help the website but the risk vs benefit is just to high and if it crashes, it will crash for weeks as I have other responsibilities in real life.

A slower SCS website is much better compared to a crashed website in Round 1 or Round 2....LOL

The website was for everyone to log on cheer, vent or cry about their SuperCoach team and performance and a place to chill out and relax but I also want to chill out and relax :) (and also vent and cry about my SuperCoach team).

Hopefully the webhosting company can help with my E-Ticket website performance issues.

Can we bring back the secret secret group please! ha ha.
Whilst it was great in the hey day of FFC, it ultimately was one of the reasons FFC never gained the traction it should have.

A place to protect the insider info made sense, so did hiding team threads to a certain extent (mainly when you had someone genuinely in contention for the title).

But it did mean that a lot of great posting was hidden from the public which is part of the reason the site stagnated and then died. One of the reasons SCS is good is that it is incredibly accessible to everyone and there is no gatekeeping. Which is one of the things this site should strive to keep at all costs.
