Did anyone watch Whitfield on Saturday? Was it just a bit 'hot' for him or did it seem that his role was very similar to others and he missed out this time?

Defence for me is a bit of a problem, had the funds to do Ryan > Hall before lockout but chickened out, now seriously considering using a trade to fix that. Pretty much all of my 50/50 calls were wrong, Whitfield over Sicily, Ryan over Hall, Crisp over Stewart, didn't consider Foley but he's looking a fair bit better prospect than Rioli. That's a 125pt difference without counting Rioli.

Port injuries might allow a Skinner or Sinn to get a start this week. Clavicle injuries always difficult to recover from quickly.?

and anyone else who has an opinion.

Hall must be over his hamstring injury to be selected. Thoughts on starting him this year? If late out can go Sic, Dawson, Ryan.
Sorry for the late reply. As soon as Lloyd was named out - I waited. If selected, I thought it the perfect time to risk it. Given his price, easy to correct, but if he's over the hammy, I had no doubt he would score well.

Once he was definitely in, the choice was easy :)

And didn't he repay that risk :p

Honestly needed it too after some average performances (Whtifield, Parish, Ward, Berry). Kind of saved my Round 1 a bit tbh.

Thoughts on Ridley and his position for next week, as I see it if he's not getting bulk points when the ball is in their back half more often than not when will he be scoring?
Essendon fan's thoughts would be great on this. At his price he killed me...

It certainly was very hot early/ very tight & contested game - almost like a final watching & the best game of the round for mine. He did go missing when the game was on the line but I think it is far too early to have real concerns. Has the tigers this weekend on the big expanses of the MCG which should suit him much better. Has scored 100+ 3 of the last 4 times he has played at the G ;)

Only watched the first quarter of the Hawks v North so didn't get a good read on Luke McDonald. Based on his stats I'm assuming he played purely in defence (AFL app is not showing heat maps at the moment).

Geez, his numbers were good. 27 disp (24/3) at 89% eff, 12 marks, 13 intercept possessions, 3 kick ins (all played on) - 140 SC.

Difficult to resist at $372k.

If playing the long term game, would almost definitely get D/M at the end of Round 6.

I'll keep and only consider trading if he goes under 70 again.

The annoying thing was that this game was perfect for him to shift to third man up in front of Hawkins and it didn't happen. Instead he was stuck on Stengle who kicked 4 (from what I saw) on him... I think I'm holding, but man it was a tough watch as a Bomber supporter and Ridley holder.

Geelong didn't have to bomb it in as they didn't face much pressure so Ridley surely improves this week.
