Reversed all of my planned trades until tomorrow night, too many doubts on who gets named, Berry, Ward, Stephens. Dusty out, Cerra out (I don't have him) who knows what curve balls will be thrown at the selection table.

Riccardi and Serong out for Rowell and McGovern - thoughts? My gut is telling me this is reactionary but I'm worried about missing out on Rowell. I'm not too pleased with Riccardi in my team and I'm confident Serong will be scoring regular trips before I know it. I'm just not too sure how else to get Rowell in!

I can also do Riccardi and Berry out for Rowell and maybe someone like Nic Martin. Just seems like a waste of a trade when I haven't squeezed any money out of either of them but hey.

Edit - this also allows me to get Hayes in my forward line.

I like the idea of bringing in Hewett and Cripps for two underwhelming rookies but I think there’s almost zero chance of Witts becoming a keeper. I can see the appeal but probably wouldn’t do it.
The witts being a keeper isn't the goal, if he makes 120k+ he's what 500k, makes easier to upgrade to a gawndy type. If gawn has another stinker u could almost sideways swap in a few weeks time

I've been sitting in the car outside the casino for 4 days arguing with myself about whether I should go in or not!!!

I actually really liked what Green, McDonald and Lipinski did but I don't have any obvious sacrifices. Secretly hoping someone gets dropped tonight.
Really like them as well. I can't choose between them. Leaning more towards green and lipinski but which one?

Right now it feels like the right thing to do is just sit tight this and have another look at Berry, Gov, Brodie, Ward, etc as well as seeing what some of the big scorers from round 1 outside my team do again this week.

I am really looking hard at Lipinski though as I only cut him late after the pre-season injury and felt like he would deliver the goods to at least M8 level across the season.

Pretty sure I'm going to go;
Ridley > Blakey
Berry > Heeney

For the outs:
Ridley - It's a lot of $$$ to spend in the backline where I'm not confident he is a top 6-8 defender. Don't trade premiums.... Unless they were never in your team until the last minute. He also has a very bad bye round for my team, which is why I wanted Lloyd over him in the first place.
Berry - Another last minute addition to my team. His popularity could hurt me if he comes good. But I'm feeling like he won't string together 6 games before the bye anyway.

For the ins:
Blakey - Considered pretty strongly pre-season, had team high metres gained in pre-season game (with Lloyd) and Round 1 (without Lloyd) - he's pretty much an enabler to get Heeney, but I don't see why he can't go 90+.... It might not be a keeper but I'm certainly feeling like he can match Ridley
Heeney - While they are playing 3 talls (Buddy/Logan/Mclean) - I'm feeling great about his role. JPK moved to defence. Parker stints up forward. Florent probably on the wing for this week at least with McInerney out. I want his Round 2 score while everything is going well for his role/health. Also has a much better bye round for my team if he gets to there unscathed.

Also gives me a M/F link which is going to be handy. I'm looping Stephens and Rachele this week.

I'd highly consider at least watching a game of Blakey with Lloyd before making this move.

I love Blakey but Lloyd is a very significant piece of information. He looked great last week, took the majority of kick-ins, kicked just about perfectly, didn't get injured and lose a quarter and still only scored 98. Lloyd is going to steal most of those kick-ins I would bet, he'll also steal a few touches from him.

Heeney is a sound pick, durability is his issue but otherwise he's going to be a keeper level forward and if his role from last round can hold up he's going to be better than that but I would also hazard that Parker playing forward so much was more a hot hand than a plan, Heeney did rot up forward until Parker started kicking goals like he's Gary Ablett Sr and then stayed forward for the majority.

Also worth noting that Sydney played just about perfect last week, if we play at that level all season we win a flag, so there's definitely some regression to the mean for the whole side on the cards.

That said, I'm ready to cull Ridley also

Have any reverse trade rules changed after lockout. Eg if I trade Milera to Sinn can I reverse it? I know I can retrade sinn but just wondering if the trade can be reversed?

Ridley to Sinn
ward to Heeney via Rachele.

I dont think teams are bombing into the forward line as much this year? Its like they are looking where they kick! I started with 5 premium defence. With sinn and skinner playing I can go down to 4. Also need to get rid of gov next week so need some$.!
