The covid protocols extra trades don't make much sense to me as players are only going to miss one match with covid/covid protocols.
You don't trade out players who miss one game so I view the extra trades as bonus trades to be used early to bring in as many cash cows as possible.

Hi All - Unfortunately I struggle to find time to post on here much, but really love reading everyone's thoughts. I would really appreciate some thoughts on my 2x proposed trade options:

Option 1 - Fade Hayes
Gawn > Jackson
Whitfield > Hinge
Owens > Cripps
Leaves me with $279,700 ITB.

Pros:
Would have great looping options down back.
Cripps obviously outscores Whitfield so that's an easy win.
Then if Jackson matches or stays within 10 points of Gawn for 6-7 weeks I get a massive cash boost.
The $280k is then an easy upgrade from one of Chapman, Berry, McGovern, Rookies etc to a fallen premium over the next couple of weeks.

Cons:
Main downside is I wouldn't have Hayes.
Jackson over Gawn on field could come back to bite me, although I think the cash gain is locked.

Option 2 - Get Hayes
Gawn > Hayes
Whitfield > Hall
Owens > Cripps
Leaves me with ~$170k ITB.

Pros:
Hall clearly outscores Whit.
Cripps probably outscores Gawn.
I get the cash boost from Hayes.

Cons:
Downside is less cash and I'm stuck with Hayes/Dixon on field until Round 7. Which could be a pretty big risk and force unwanted trades given Ryder is a chance to play this week and may end up impacting Hayes a fair bit.
Less cash for that next upgrade and probably requires another downgrade to get there

Current team before trades:

Am I missing anything? Would really appreciate any thoughts from the community!
I'd do Chapman>Hinge, McGovern>Hayes and Ward>Cripps.

It's to cover donuts if you lose five players at a time - maybe you've selected a very WCE oriented team for example.

Sorry to be the one to break this to you, but Zac Bailey has to go.

If you can get Ridley or Whitfield to Petracca in one then I'd do that, but wouldn't do an extra trade to make it possible. He looks great but we'll be able to get him some point.
What about I raise you, an extra two trades to get it done…

Not seriously, as I do need to fix Baldwin to curnow/Rachele. Probably big Charlie.

Interesting thoughts on bailey. Always hard to give up a POD…

Really torn between doing
3 trades; Whitfield, Berry, Owens > Cripps+2 players

Or 2 trades; Whitfield/ Owens > Cripps/Foley(or Answerth/Hinge)

Already have 97k ITB and 34 trades left (used last minute Rayner > Xerri, last round)

Still no idea really

McGovern - > Xerri looks locked
Whitfield - > Hewett
Long - > Bowey via DPP

No Hayes 🤔 , keep Gawn 🤔

Lose my 🍩 and F/M link with Brodie.

Dixon , Milera , SDK possible donut options for VC/C

Bench

Milera , Gibcus
Rachele * , Ward , Stephens
Dixon *
Durdin , SDK *
Or just fix the rookies , only 2 rounds gone , might wait on Gawn & Whitfield

McGovern - > Xerri
Milera - > Hinge

Hopefully Hayes gets dropped so I don't need to make a decision on him.

In another year, in another spot, you'd give him a chance. But against Heeney and Butters it's time to admit defeat.

Not too sure, too scared to press the boost button, just incase it locks me in, even tho it says it wont unless i use that 3rd trade

Not sure whether to go Cripps, MP with more chance of price change and rookie or 2 rookies or try fitting a prem and rookie in with Cripps

The boost is 100% reversible, I've reversed 20 times now.

Would love to know your thoughts, if you didn't have these rookies where would you rank them as must haves for Round 3
Personally my ranking is
1. Xerri
2. MacDonald
3. Hayes
4. Durdin
5. Naish
