Is there anybody that hasn’t/isn’t trading Gawn?
For me it’s a $$$ value decision to trade him out.
Ironically going down to Jackson but it frees up $$$ for other problem areas and gets a rookie off the field.
And if Gawn goes big in 3 or 4 weeks, role looks good etc then go back again. But Jackson should hopefully make $$$ in the meantime. Gawn drops some $ over the next few weeks, 5 extra trades helps.
It’s not like he has burnt me and it’s a rage trade, happy to go back to the beard again if I can.

McGov or Dixon to Xerri...?
I'm sitting on 320k with no use for it over next few weeks. Thoughts on who makes most cash?

Sam Mitchell mentioned something preseason about groin issues. Could be that.
Yeah, went back and had a look and it was kind of a perfect storm:
CBAs, TOG a little down (think that stays a while like that, they're blooding the kids)
Tackles down a touch (again, likely to stay a touch suppressed)
DE a disgrace, FAs up (likely revert to more customary levels)
Disposals down (corollary of TOG / CBA to an extent)

TLDR: Turfed him,cheers 🥂

Apparently he is the greatest St Kilda player since Baldock , so if he stayed I said to myself I would bring him in.

Gawn - > Hayes
Milera - > Hinge
McGovern - > Xerri
Now have a 10-7-5 setup

Blakey
Rowell , Berry , Brodie
...
Coniglio , Curnow , Xerri

Hinge , McCartin
Daicos , JHF
Hayes (Dixon)

Hayes (Dixon) @ R2 the obvious risk , fingers crossed one works until Xerri gets DPP

Hopefully all my onfield $200k+ MP & Rookies can hit $ 350k ish + ASAP (obviously need the patience to wait) then do 3 upgrades Round 6 or 7.

Round 4 Rachele/Stephens - > Martin via Long or Durdin to Long

Round 5 see if Preuss is a viable option

That's a lot of moolah sitting ITB.

Maybe a couple of the MP's max out in cash gen before rnd 6

That's the plan , I guess Blakey & Rowell will both be closer to $ 400k hopefully so it might be a case of maybe Hinge , Berry , Curnow being a quick upgrade or if Fyfe is back by then Brodie might have maxed out.

Obviously if they are scoring well enough I will try and hold onto them as long as possible.

Hopefully Coniglio is a keeper and Xerri is viable long term.

Cashed out Gawn when Hayes was named (fingers crossed it works or Preuss works or Xerri works or I just thrown my hands up in the air) 😀

Didn't really know which replacement ruck to pick (captain hindsight would suggest English was the trade to do , toyed with ROB but then thought nah let's wait and see for a few rounds)

Not confident in my bench all making the magic $ 150k each and who knows what/when downgrade options appear , so hope to get in 3 upgrades before starting to downgrade.

Have my eye on the BE of half a dozen premium defenders that hopefully drop down to $ 525k ish each + 3 mids to $ 575k ish.

Just need Dunkley , Heeney , Butters , Cogs , Curnow to do the job up forward + Xerri (or Hayes or Martin) depending where he ends up.

Daicos & JHF if they get DPP opens up a few interesting trade options as well.

McCartin could be a slow burn but his DPP could be advantageous.

May or may not work and probably looking too far ahead , but gives me a idea of what I would like to do Round 4-7.

Once prices change at the end of this round (for those that have played 3 games) will give a greater indication on BE , price projections etc etc and can start looking/planning for some trade targets more definitively

A few rookies debuting this weekend gives opportunities in rnd 5 for a double or triple upgrade to those uber premos in the mids.

Not sure I will be downgrading in Round 5.

Doubt too many of Gibcus , SDK , Rachele , Stephens , Ward , Dixon , Durdin , Long 🍩 would have made enough $ by then to warrant a trade.

One needs to go next round for Martin though.

Need to be flexible though , if the debutant rookies look must haves and my current bench rookies are dropped or about to lose $ may have to trade them out.

Have had issues in the past trading out seemingly dud rookies , only for them to reappear and perform well.

Just need to continue to reassess everything at the end of each round.

Round 6 or 7 hopefully will be triple upgrade round , maybe even Round 5 if possible.

Just need to check prices , BE & projections at the end of this round and zone in on some D & M targets

Butters just volunteered. Always the team player.
Could very well be a option either to Martin or a premium ruck if things don't look viable today or tomorrow.

Be nice if Durdin pumped out a 50+ again , Stephens might not survive , Swans seemingly have 8-12 players that can all play multiple positions/similar roles.

Will hold Rachele.

Depends on how Ward goes as well.

Have you seen his new BE ?

SPP certainly knocked the stuffing out of him , then he got another hit/tackle later in the game as well.

Port play first next round as well so will need to make a decision early.

Can't believe Ward has been traded by anyone. Great role and looks ready to explode.
