Allen will no longer be rucking - Simmo stated that, way too valuable as our main young key fwd for the next decade.

In the past we have played Darling/ JK/ Allen in the fwds along with NN & Williams as 2nd ruck/ fwd (part of rotations).

JK was very close to not playing last week v pies but played because of our lack of options, we are getting players back now so expect him to be rested often especially on away trips.

Dixon is competing with Bailey Williams & Luke Strnadica - 2 of those 3 play each week for the next 12 weeks NN is out. Jack Williams is the other ruck/fwd on the list but is nowhere near ready as evidenced by his 1 possession game v North in round 2 - very skinny/ raw.

Dixon is ahead of Strnadica & B Williams as the 2nd ruck resting fwd as has played key fwd most of his career/ only added the rucking recently. His fwd craft has been solid, Simmo even stated in the practice game v Freo he was our best player. Presents well/ hits the packs hard with strong hands. Worked hard on his fitness which was the knock on him when on Freo’s list.

What has been a huge pleasant surprise was his ground level work when playing in the ruck. He was huge in the last quarter v pies, was a real factor in why we won.

In summary, I see B Williams & Strnadica competing for the lead ruck role with Dixon clearly ahead of all others having the back up ruck/ key fwd - he is far better/ more accomplished playing key fwd than Strnadica & B Williams so is the ideal 2nd ruck.

WCE as a team have traditionally played tall (often too tall in my opinion) Simmo’s argument being Darling & JK are very athletic for their size, obviously JK is slowing down with his age but Darling still has that athletic ability.

Personally see Dixon getting plenty of games if he continues to maintain his current form.
Do you think the fact Naitanui was a high impact burst player that spent large periods on the bench allowed that ultra tall setup though? Williams or Dixon will hardly be able to replicate his game…

Also could Darling simply replace Allen as a ruck? Darling did have 16 hitouts last year which shows some ability to play ruck at least…

Any ideas on a m/f floating donut who may get a gig soon under 120k?
Can see a few: Ned Long, Sam Butler, Charlie Parker.

Not sure about any others?

Either Stephens to NOD or Gibcus to NOD

I like the M/D link that Stephens to NOD opens, and also have Ward and MacDonald not doing much on my mid bench.

Really considering adding Cripps to Parish, Trac, or Green... Any feedback? I understand Cripps is considered a short term injury, but not a fan of soft tissue injuries this early in the season and have only used 2 trades so far - think it's still time to keep the aggression up.

If I could go Cripps and Ward to Macrae and NOD in 2 trades I think I would, but have to use third trade and trade out Gibcus to maybe Ned Long. Long would be handy to loop as I have had all green lights all year.
What would you guys do? $8,600 in kitty.

my D4-8 is McCartin, Hinge, Gibcus, SDK, Skinner.

Thinking I need to take NOD if named, and also thinking I should use Cripps to get a keeper defender?

Any advice from anyone? @Creeker 😁 There’s no way I’m going to beat you this week without your advice. 🥸

Is Cripps really worth moving if he's out for just a week? I'm sticking with him personally, I imagine we'll find out he'll be another week come next week but he's been in fantastic form all season so if he's out for just the weekend, seems a tad rash to move him.

Anyone holding Dylan Stephens? Feels like he’s got a decent amount of money left to make.
In and out - could consolidate, could be sub every second week. One of those rookie risks..

Im sure there are those that know more about him and the Sydney dynamic. Personally I’m trading him to NOB as I reckon he’s going to make enough to justify the trade and opens up handy D/M link for me.

I’d like to see the percentage of 1 week hammies.

Alternatively it’s a prime chance to up grade and push on. I guess it depends if you’re still pushing overall or league.
