JHF/Rowell > Rosas/English looks fairly straight-forward.

Leaves me with 76k and the below. Might just sit on that and try to figure out a path to Oliver next week.

Struggling to see how that might work though. Whitfield > Sicily is tempting...

The DPP swings are a good addition, will be interesting to see who profits the most by being able to swing players across the lines and increase their teams' projected outputs.

I can get two quality upgrades in this week, but it involves burning Berry early (plus Chappy slightly early) and fading Preuss in favour of S. Hayes.

Berry > Rosas
Rowell > Petracca
Chapman > Sicily

This brings me to 14 premos. Is it worth it to get an upgrade ahead? Or am I compromising too much in the long game?

I reckon play agressive and do those trades. Sometimes not worth waiting a cow to moo than extra $25k, just got to cut them and upgrade

This gets me cashed up for next week big upgrade to Oliver or Steele. Hall's injury a bit annoying as could've looked to upgrade.

Also means I will end up having swung 3 FWD/MID DPPs into midfield line, in Brodie, Rachele and Martin, which kind of feels dirty but perhaps doesn't matter too much? I always prefered to keep mid line for pure mids...

Agreed! Also worth keeping in mind there is a good chance a lot of cows will max at the same time and they can't all be traded at their peak. Realistically you'll want to trade 1-2 per week, so they'll need to be staggered over the next 4-5 weeks. Gotta be ruthless now otherwise you run the risk of them losing money on the other side!

Don't mind me but just talking myself into Rory Laird over here.

Since his move into the midfield in round 9 of 2020 he has averaged 116.94

Missed only the two games in this period, rounds 1 and 2 this year, due to a broken hand.

See below breakdown of his scoring in that time;
0-90 - 2
90-100 - 5
100-120 - 10
120+ - 17

So has put up captaincy scores in half of those games.

From post-bye last season until now is putting up 122.83.

Someone talk me down of this ledge.

Only in 1,000 teams too, so could be an unreal POD given how similar everyone's teams are starting to look. I think if you're looking to spend over $600k he has to be right up there with the Oliver/Steele types.

Probably comes down to how much you want a POD vs closing off potential negative PODs.

Thinking of holding Grundy and assessing how he goes against the Dons this week (the only way is up right?). Leaves me moving JHF, McCartin and Rowell for Steele, Preuss and Rosas.

Also leaves me with 7 players who are ruck eligible...

I'm also holding Grundy, should go large against Draper especially with Phillips now injured (we normally play Phillips against Grundy). Talent is permanent - will back Grundy in. And I also having bigger problems like Hall's hammy and culling some cash cows
