Why aren’t more people trading Daicos?

His scoring has already dropped away with 3 consecutive 70s in light of a possible foot issue - now throw gastro into the mix and we could be looking at a horror score (similar to De Goey/Butters) well below his 74 breakeven.

Surely it’s the right time to jump off?
When you have Daicos with a floor of 70 vs the other rookies and no real obvious downgrades pushing through on the DEF line then it makes sense to hang onto him. Most teams are probably in a spot where their premo additions needs to be D1/2 and most of the likely targets now are two trades away at least, if not three, which would also be a factor in retaining Daicos I suspect.

Keep who:

Dixon: Could be first ruck, had one nice spike score and at that price only needs one more
JHF: Relatively low BE, 39 cycles out and has shown far more potential for a breakout game.

Leaning towards keeping JHF, even though Dixon could ruck all game!

This is exactly my situation. I am also leaning to keeping the hornet, purely to support him for longer

Surely it's Dixon?

1. At $310k, JHF needs keeper scores to be worthwhile as a cow from here. Hasn't tonned up once
2. Dixon a potential first ruck, so better chance of a spike score to improve upon his $246k value than flanker JHF
3. Dixon's DPP needed for trading out Preuss/Hayes/Strnadica when fattened, utilising English's DPP, bye coverage etc?

Looking at Cooper Hamilton, it appears he came in for Bruhn (omitted) last week. Despite the M/F status, it looks like he played exclusively in defence. Not a bad position for scoring. I think I like McComb better but would take Hamilton ahead of Carroll

Considering:

A. Whitfield, JHF, Daicos > Sicily, Parker, Clark.

B. Brodie, JHF, Daicos > Sicily, Parker, Clark.

.
Outside the Clark situation, anymore thoughts on this. I still fiddling around with other ideas. With Hewett out, Sicily probably becomes more of a priority if I decide to just do the 2 trades.

Also a Hewett owner.

I actually agree with everything you are saying.

Countered with JHF more likely to go 90+ and greater job security for JHF.

Did not think the decision would be made significantly easier by Dixon getting dropped from the 22 when only 17 were available!

after some serious thought

Rachelle, Rowell and Xerri out for Cripps, McComb and Parker, leaving me with 34k and the team below
(Daicos instead of Rowell left me with -$1800)...

Do you have his VFL efficiency?
Unfortunately not … it may be available online, but the app just lists the above stats (and behinds/hitouts).

I also recall reading (a theory?) that Bevo likes to reward players with good VFL performances with a decent run in the AFL side … it gets the whole VFL side motivated and pushing to perform. I don’t know that there’s any truth in it, but guys like Scott from prior years might support the theory.

Not necessarily here to advocate for McComb - I have been unsure about him as well - but I’m starting to feel more comfortable.

Personally I’m trading JHF and keeping Dixon. I noticed earlier today that I have enough spare cash left to reassess my outs, so I’ll do that.

I must say that I would have put a low probability on JHF not making 150k for me, but that’s where we seem to be headed. Dixon has a lower price from which to grow as well as DPP. I reckon you’d probably have to be forecasting a near term spike game or improved role for JHF to make him the one to keep, but he could be worth keeping if that was your expectation.

Edit: sometimes it’s best to read to the end of the thread before replying 😋

I ended up going rachele and durdin for touk and mccomb. I really qanted to bring in touk. Mccomb was 50/50 but hes cheap with a goid role playing tonight. Maybe he fets a apike game, maybe not.

Any thoughts on McComb JS versus Rioli JS?

Vlastuin and Prestia to come back in for the Tigers, assumedly that means Pickett and Mansell straight back out?
